Because my Aries stbx is screwing me over by giving me or trying to give me almost nothing financially and we have a child of 5yrs old.
He has a lawyer. I cant afford one.
I am scared!
You need a lawyer badly. You may be able to get him to pay for some of the lawyer fees.
My divorce with Aries was easy. But I got a lawyer, was fair and his lawyer told him to take it.. he wouldn’t get a better deal! He did. And it made a huge difference to getting along for coparenting. I’m a Sag but cap-dominant.. and I’m the one who took control of the situation.

She is divorcing him, and it's ugly, my sister is very opinionated, very stubborn, and he is the same, but he is really a nice guy. I really hope they don't get a divorce after all.click to expand
Its interesting you say that about your aries sister - "opinionated and stubborn" ..same as my aries husband. I think those are aries traits!
However as a Capricorn i too am opinionated & stubborn lol! However everyone tells me what a nice kind person I am.
THIS is the main reason why an Aries & Cap relationship does NOT work!

How do you know you can’t afford a lawyer? Have you gotten quotes of retainers?

Alimony laws have changed. It used to be that a woman got a lot of money out of the man. Not anymore. They calculate how much you made last year and how much he made. They then subtract the difference and you get a percentage of that. My Pisces brother and his Libra wife are separated and he only pays $ 180 (rough estimate) a month for 2 years.
Look into Legal Aid for a lawyer who will help you.click to expand
That’s such a broad statement, you don’t even know where she is. Why scare her with misinformation? Surely you could have contributed something more helpful/useful given her situation. She’s obviously worried about money so to tell her about your brother only paying a bum ass $ 180 is negative and pessimistic. You also glossed over the 5 year old child they have together, which brings child support into question. You sound jelly at the heart of it all.

They do..its called CMS. Child Maintenance Services.
Its too late sadly. I didnt accept his financial offer so now its going to court where he us giving me MUCH less!
