Capricorns with heavy Sag and Aqua placements are the only tolerable ones for me. Too much Cap makes people hard to be around especially if that’s in combo with Scorpio.
Can be rather tedious/destructive/cold/impenetrable.
But come on... It's the Scorpio Venus!... I would give it an exception lol I really wish for a scorpio venus

Hhmm good question. Just feels off to me... because Mercury to me is methods of communication and thought. Capricorn is known to be more restrictive than exploring and open. I prefer a more flexible and open sign for Mercury such as Gemini, Virgo, Aqua.
However, I'm not well versed in astrology to give good reasons why. So may be some other folks can speak on this....

I'm not saying that cap merc isn't restrictive but I don't know.... because like it's weird for me I always try to empathize with others and their perspectives. I may not agree with them but I do understand where people are coming from. I do have issues with small talk though because I'm so busy wanting to talk about things like multiverse and reality possibly being an simulation. I don't really drop connections, we can be good friends. But you know.. not a lifetime connection as marriage lol
And what really restricts me is my culture, families are a big deal and every one joining the family is under microscopic judgements. Plus your children will have their father as their idol most probably .. so all of this contributes to a decision one makes. One more thing, you asked if I'm embarrassed.. and that's the question I ask myself.. If I feel 1% embarrassment by him, then he's not the one for me.

I think I get what you mean .. but he seems to be more open and flexible than so many others. I am not sure, we had a couple of arguments, and eventhough I felt like I won't talk to him again after the first one, he is being kind and flexible, accepting my point of view. I still like all his placements so far.. lol

My Moon is Sag. I have a lot of Cap energy in my chart though as well.
In my experience male Cap Moons tend to have some sort of “wound” that they obsess over for their entire lives and live closed off from the world and can be very cold or when upset very reactionary. They prioritize their own feelings to the exist that they think they aren’t responsible for their own actions. They can have trouble opening up and if you don’t have a patient water sign type person that can handle that sort of rejection and work through it then it can be hard to ever actually reach that inner space which means the relationship can be incredibly superficial and make the other person feel rejected or left out in the cold.
They can be romantic but also they consider those efforts to be currency and if you don’t pay them back they can becoming demanding.
I also have Cancer Mars so that’s probably another reason why I’ve seen more of their negative energy with that opposition.
I don’t see this with the women but I’ve seen it over and over with the men.

So eventually this faded away ... I detached myself cause well he wasn't as caring as I thought he would be when I needed him. My mother and grandmother were both sick with covid and I was taking care of them, he knew that, but hardly asks about me.. and when he talked, he actually blamed me for not checking on him.. isn't this crazy? I don't like this sort of relationship.. and not willing to get into an argument cause someone didn't care.. so I silently leave this. When I am not there "emotionally", it seems to me that this Capricorn man put his needs first.

My mother and grandmother were both sick with covid and I was taking care of them, he knew that, but hardly asks about me.. and when he talked, he actually blamed me for not checking on him.. isn't this crazy? I don't like this sort of relationship.. and not willing to get into an argument cause someone didn't care.. so I silently leave this.
