one of my best friends (a virgo) used my shower yesterday and he told me i had way too much stuff out and that my bathroom looked cluttered.

he was like, “who the hell has six shower gels out at the same time?” 😅

he couldn’t understand why someone needed more than one out ?

i told him it’s because i don’t like using the same one every single day. and he was like, “why? just finish using one and then open another one. or your bathroom’s gonna be full of half-used bottles taking up unnecessary space.”

my s/o (sag) doesn’t mind that i have so many shower gels out since he has his own area and could care less what i do with mine. lol 😅. he even laughs about it. i try to keep all my stuff within my area, but i can understand how this would annoy certain people. 😅

i also noticed that i always need several different jams for my toast in the morning. (strawberry, blueberry, apricot, peach, fig jam just to name a few that’s currently in the fridge lol 😂 etc) also need a wide variety of teas. i get bored drinking the same tea, coffee all the time. s/o thinks nothing of it. to him, it’s just another day in the life of living with me 😅

i guess my question is,

i was wondering if there are specific placements in one’s natal chart that gravitate towards wanting variety ??

i have a gemini moon and gemini mars but i don’t find myself wanting variety in love and relationships for example…i don’t want a variety of lovers or be in an open relationship or anything crazy like that 😅. i wanna stay with one person and lead a drama-free, peaceful life 😅(venus in taurus). basically, i only want variety when it comes to everyday, trivial stuff like soaps, jams, music, movie genres, restaurants to eat at etc

can anyone else sorta relate?

what placements in your chart do you think are making you crave variety? and why?

my guess would be

signs that are filled with curiosity such as gemini, sag, aquarius placements ? possibly aries placements because they tend to look for stimulation a lot.

or any placements that tend to dislike the mundane / conventional?

we have a shelf that looks kinda similar to this one below but there's already a bunch of stuff on it like (shampoo, conditioner, body scrubs, toothbrushes, toothpastes, razors, loofah etc) . so i had to put my shower gels elsewhere since there are too many 😂

Yeah most industrial soap is crap these days, some brands that were good 20 years ago have turned into this low-quality crap that turns to mush after 2 uses. You have to find the good brands. Avoid those marked "milk" or sthg like that. Marseille soap is the best

Regarding variety, I rather need a change of environment. I am actually more of a nomad, living and travelling here and there with little baggage. Sometimes I even leave some stuff behind and buy new things because I can’t be bothered carrying it with me.

I like variety in shops. It means I could choose what I want, when I want, and so I don’t have to clutter my home like a hoarder.

If something doesn’t tickle my fancy, it lands in the bin, even if 90% full. The idea of having multiple open jars in the fridge gives me the jitters, since I can only eat for 3 days from something that has been opened.

Oh man I have so many shampoo and conditioner out right now it'll blow you away. And their all hair growth to restore thick hair. And no I don't want to accept the fact I'm getting old either. I swear I must have the cleanest hair in the world. I have a ton of variety of colognes too. My bedroom dresser is fully loaded with them. I love to smell good with different colognes everyday.

As a Libra rising I can definitely tell you I have had affair with lots of different women during the span of my lifetime. And as patiently faithful and loyal as I was I admit I used to get bored sometimes with the same lover/s. I suppose Libra suns are the same way too.

I can handle like 3 bottles in the shower with me before I can't think anymore.

when you said sensory, it all started to make sense ! lol i really do think it could be related to the senses. like, buying blankets you don't really need just for the soft texture, buying different shampoos to test out different scents, buying different colored pens (like you mentioned), getting bored eating the same thing everyday etc do you have any taurus placements in you? lol (you're a capricorn if i'm not mistaken?) taurus placements tend to respond strongly to things that are pleasing to their five senses, or so i've heard! lol

japan doesn't have bath and body works so i have to buy my candles online now lol 😂not too happy about that.

i went out and got some fancy looking containers for the shampoo/conditioner/body soap!

they're not the dark ones like you mentioned but these were on sale for like 15 usd each (about 2200 jpy each) such a steal! so i grabbed them all! 😂😂 lol even the toothbrush holder lol

they'll most likely get filthy with fingerprints (since they're made of mirrors lol) but these are gonna look so aesthetically pleasing in my bathroom lol



also bought a new soap dish.

the one on the left is my old one which i actually like a lot and the one on the right is my new one



hopefully certain areas in my bathroom will look more put together now.

I have a Pisces Aqua stellium and I don’t like routine or doing the same thing everyday.

It’s mostly with my daily life that I like change things up a bit, I can’t see myself fit with a 9 to 5 job without feeling unhappy most of the time. But if I have to I have to but I’ll probably do something to change it up a bit like taking a different route there or something.

I don’t need huge differences but I don’t like repetitiveness. So like now and then I need to rearrange my furniture, or change up my coffee order. Or try out another coffee shop. Cook one day eat out another things like that


With products I’m similar to you only I don’t buy different stuff all at once. I’ll finish whatever product I got and then when I run out I may try something new. I like to change it up a bit.

But with everything else I can get obsessive and stick to what I like.

I guess I like spontaneity

yes! i feel you! routine, stagnancy, repetitiveness bores me too!

you could pick a job where you get to choose your own hours. with any kind of entrepreneurship, you may need to work more than 8 hours a day at first but working long hours for yourself is way more tolerable than working long hours for someone else.

i also know a couple of people who are happy in their 9-5 jobs but they usually like the people they're working with (co-workers, boss, work atmosphere etc) and they feel passionate about what they're doing.

If I didn’t live/work in a town, I’d probably visit twice a week, to “explore”.

I rarely wash with chemicals, and so a piece of soap or hair conditioner lasts for ages. I do buy more than I could use, up to the point I find something that I like best and then try to dispose of the rest.

I don’t keep cooked food for more than 2 days. But you are right, there will be things that last more than 3 days when opened and no, I don’t throw them. Cheese, yoghurt, milk, mustard, brown sauce, ketchup, oyster sauce, some Korean dipping sauce for dumplings, butter, jam, tomato paste, olives, capers, picked chilli come to my mind. Hubby uses mayonnaise quite often. I don’t want to see more of a jar/ bottle of anything, unless it’s beer, lol.

Hm. Maybe it's a Scorpio thing? Or a Uranus thing. My Aqua BFF changes her preferences so much. Well, when it comes to what to eat and all. I think I picked up the bad habit from her. She would order takeout, eat some of it but then she'd change her mind the next day and let the leftovers just sit there. Not easy to please I guess.

I attribute this to a fast-paced mind. Things get to be an eyesore super quick for me, unless I have a harmonious system set up that I can take in and breathe. I think Taurus is really good at that. They like sensory things but it has to be of good value, strong, sturdy, tough, won't break. Then of course, they will buy 5 pairs of the same exact jeans if they're quality jeans. I'm like... Huh?

I'd rather have 5 different pairs for 5 separate occasions. Haha.

I really do like variety.

I mean, I just showered with two different shower gels. One rose scented and the other is an almond shower oil, you know, luxurious 🚿🧼

perhaps libra energy comes off a bit idealistic to some people at times. head in the clouds sorta? and that may lead to chasing illusions.

I have a lot of air influence, but I'm more of a minimalist. I don't like having too much stuff where you have to be careful not to bump into something all the time or put it away to clean up. I also like uninterrupted straight lines and surfaces, a certain uniformity is pleasing to my eye.

Regarding variety, I rather need a change of environment. I am actually more of a nomad, living and travelling here and there with little baggage. Sometimes I even leave some stuff behind and buy new things because I can’t be bothered carrying it with me.

i know what you mean. i also like zen, minimalist rooms like this:

you can think more clearly and focus on what's important more in a clean, refined environment.

traveling light is freeing in many ways. most of us carry way too much baggage without fully being aware (physical baggage and psychological baggage as well)

If I didn’t live/work in a town, I’d probably visit twice a week, to “explore”.


I rarely wash with chemicals, and so a piece of soap or hair conditioner lasts for ages. I do buy more than I could use, up to the point I find something that I like best and then try to dispose of the rest.


I don’t keep cooked food for more than 2 days. But you are right, there will be things that last more than 3 days when opened and no, I don’t throw them. Cheese, yoghurt, milk, mustard, brown sauce, ketchup, oyster sauce, some Korean dipping sauce for dumplings, butter, jam, tomato paste, olives, capers, picked chilli come to my mind. Hubby uses mayonnaise quite often. I don’t want to see more of a jar/ bottle of anything, unless it’s beer, lol.

i agree with you about the cooked food. i don't like microwaving/re-heating food that's already been microwaved/re-heated before. if you cook something, you ideally wanna eat it while it's fresh. or freeze it right away to at least preserve the freshness.

I get bored of the same pens and color even though I have a favorite pen. It must be a sensory thing. I could never eat the same thing every single day, I'd go crazy.

when you said sensory, it all started to make sense ! lol i really do think it could be related to the senses. like, buying blankets you don't really need just for the soft texture, buying different shampoos to test out different scents, buying different colored pens (like you mentioned), getting bored eating the same thing everyday etc do you have any taurus placements in you? lol (you're a capricorn if i'm not mistaken?) taurus placements tend to respond strongly to things that are pleasing to their five senses, or so i've heard! lol

Hm. Maybe it's a Scorpio thing? Or a Uranus thing. My Aqua BFF changes her preferences so much. Well, when it comes to what to eat and all. I think I picked up the bad habit from her. She would order takeout, eat some of it but then she'd change her mind the next day and let the leftovers just sit there. Not easy to please I guess.


I attribute this to a fast-paced mind. Things get to be an eyesore super quick for me, unless I have a harmonious system set up that I can take in and breathe. I think Taurus is really good at that. They like sensory things but it has to be of good value, strong, sturdy, tough, won't break. Then of course, they will buy 5 pairs of the same exact jeans if they're quality jeans. I'm like... Huh?

I'd rather have 5 different pairs for 5 separate occasions. Haha.

it's so easy to find people who will be around during the good times. it's like the easiest thing in the world. what's more rare is finding someone who will be there during the difficult times. and also being someone who will be there through someone else's difficult time.

i'm a firm believer in the law of attraction and if you're the type of person who is serious about relationships, universe will send you someone who is serious too. someone can fool themselves and think they're ready for a ride or die, through thick and thin type relationship but you can't fool the universe. the universe will pick up on whether you're actually serious or not and your reality will reflect that.

my s/o and i, we've both had health issues, family drama, hardships in the past but we were there for each other. tying knot in november. 🙂

i wouldn’t tell myself it will take long.

as someone who dislikes uncertainty and wasting time (i’m an aries so i naturally hate taking unnecessary detours towards my goal), i remember doing whatever i could to shorten the process of finding genuine love. i knew what i wanted right from the get go and never remotely entertained anything that wasn’t what i wanted. at the same time though, i’m aware that no one is the complete package (not even myself) so i’m pretty darn forgiving towards people’s minor/trivial flaws but i always made sure the other person had the non-negotiables such as a pure heart with good intentions, wholesome values, a stable head on their shoulders, high problem solving skills (cuz life is about solving one problem after another in a way) , can self-reflect (aware of their shortcomings as well as their strengths) and things like that.

your dreams will turn into reality quicker when you’re not putting out contradictory energy into the universe. for example, someone who says they wanna become financially well off but they’re watching Netflix all day instead of looking for ways to make money etc

or someone who says they want true, genuine, enduring love but they’re still entertaining flakey, indecisive weirdos.

these are some examples of people acting contradictory.

Spot on! Everything you said, I’m the same way!!! I don’t entertain pointless prospects and keep myself emotionally available for the right person. I keep my eyes, ears open because I can meet the right person anywhere and I observe people closely. When I said that it will take long, it’s because people who think like us are rare. Most people do entertain useless prospects as placeholders or they’re seeking love while hung up over someone else (emotionally unavailable) or their priorities in a partnership are superficial.
