When I first started seeing my Cap he was aloof and weirdly distant and I would rarely see a softer side. Hell, more than 75% of the time I didnt know if we were even in a relationship.
That threw me into a twirl. If I knew then what I've learned thru this whole process I could have saved myself alot of unnecessary stress.
I had actually given up any hope and moved on to other relationships.
He eventually wandered back and verbalized wanting to be in a committed relationship and actually followed up with action.
It literally felt like he turned on a switch.
If I didnt love him so damn much I would have told him to go pound sand. I spent a lot of time understanding this placement and his others (he is why I landed on dxp to begin with)
Even though I flip flop every day on marriage.....because he is ready.....I can't see myself with anyone else ever. He is truly my best friend before everything else.
He dictated the evolution of the friendship even though I fought him all the way. I'm very glad about that now, despite all my hissy fits....lol

As far as sexuality I find they just enjoy ermm...trying new exciting things and get bored easily if sex is always the same. That could just mean doing it on the kitchen counter or bent over the bathroom sink or other kinkier things.
I guess I can’t say if he’s hard to pin down. I don’t really keep a leash on him. He has a crush on Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn. He wants me to be wacky over him. I give it to him in small doses. He would kill me if he saw this but he would not mind at all if I want to dominate him. Aqua is secretive about their sexual proclivities. I've been blogging for a decade and because of my oddities, I payed close attention to other Venus in Aquarius who blogged.
As far as what others have characterized as oddities... dating the ugliest guy in h.s. and I was supposedly a stunner or my 1st serious relationship was an open relationship (3 years long); or dating a gangster; and, I was told I married my stalker, LOL... there's more. That's enough.

My father was an Aqua Venus though. And, he made my Venus "worse" by understanding me and encouraging me, and giving me "instruction." It's my strongest placement.
He loved to hear my dating stories. He actually asked... and boy, he would pass out laughing no matter how strange my interactions where. He made me comfortable as a fellow Aqua Venus.
Idk the Pisces has one and he didn’t play hard to get at all.
He’s not a jealous person AT ALL.
Also very affectionate and stable without being overbearing or clingy.

Mine is not like you described either.. maybe the “hard to pin down” part, but not really. They are slow to commit but their interest is not hard to get or hard to keep. Definitely NOT asexual. Lol mine was very sensual. In fact I’ve dated a few aqua venus (my libra rising seems to attract them 🙄) they are never asexual. That surprised me... patient, maybe.. but not asexual.
They like unconventional relationships and don’t like rules. They’re attracted to quirkiness. They love intellectual conversation. Freedom and independence is important to them. IF they will marry anyone, they will marry their best friend.

I made this thread to get a better understanding of the Aqua venus because I wanted to see if my progressed venus in Aqua was relevant to me in any way. I have always struggled with expressing myself and found peoples' responses extremely helpful as they were able to *perfectly* articulate how I freaking feel as a person. All that fits me to a T. Before that I thought the new age term demisexual best described me. And yes I'm also very slow to commit and require freedom and independence. All this just seems really cool to me. However I’m also an Aqua sun so idk if it’s all just an Aqua thing or both Aqua sun and the effects of my progressed venus in Aqua from Cap.

I agree with this. For an aqua venus, sex is a bonus but not a main requirement. It's a very logical venus. Like they get more aroused by intellectual conversations than the act of sex. The main foreplay is talking about something interesting then ends up in bed. Most of the partners that they fall head over heels for are those that has something beyond sexual compatibility. Being good in bed doesn't make them stay either. Which is why I think they do have high standards. When we think of venus we think of love and aqua venus loves nothing more than the intellect.

My cap mum and an old acquaintance both have Aquarius venus. I'd say they are quite "weird". I mean the way they approach relationship is werd. They'd date anybody, don't care about looks, attracted to any kind of people, open-minded, they're quite hippies. Thy seem cold but are quite the opposite actually. Strangely, they are like Pisces venus in a way, they tend to fall for the "wrong" people. Often impossible or one-sided/unrequited love. Since venus rules over your fashion style too, they dress up as hippies lol. They like simple stuff and their freedom.
Their progressed venuses might be in Pisces.
