If it’s none of the above then how would you describe them and what were their other placements?

Mine is not like you described either.. maybe the “hard to pin down” part, but not really. They are slow to commit but their interest is not hard to get or hard to keep. Definitely NOT asexual. Lol mine was very sensual. In fact I’ve dated a few aqua venus (my libra rising seems to attract them 🙄) they are never asexual. That surprised me... patient, maybe.. but not asexual.

They like unconventional relationships and don’t like rules. They’re attracted to quirkiness. They love intellectual conversation. Freedom and independence is important to them. IF they will marry anyone, they will marry their best friend.

I made this thread to get a better understanding of the Aqua venus because I wanted to see if my progressed venus in Aqua was relevant to me in any way. I have always struggled with expressing myself and found peoples' responses extremely helpful as they were able to *perfectly* articulate how I freaking feel as a person. Especially the posts by @dilettante. Like yaas,

not being sexually motivated means you do not actively seek out sexual experiences. a lot of ppl rely on the validation of others & aqua energy does not need validation from anyone.

And also @aquarius09 hit the nail, “ I’m very sexually disciplined and sex is never my motivation to get with someone. I don’t prioritize sex as much as I do a mental connection and friendship. If I get that from someone, then I’ll date them. Otherwise, nope.”

All that fits me to a T. Before that I thought the new age term demisexual best described me. And yes I'm also very slow to commit and require freedom and independence. All this just seems really cool to me. However I’m also an Aqua sun so idk if it’s all just an Aqua thing or both Aqua sun and the effects of my progressed venus in Aqua from Cap.

I am also all about affection, attention, romance and sensuality and everything that comes with it but I pin those on my Leo moon and Leo mars.

Anyway, my short research concludes chart progressions do have an effect on you :D

in progressed charts i am also aqua venus.

Dual rulers Uranus/Saturn... you feel like Uranian energy. I'm definitely Uranian energy but Capricorn Ascendant... what you see is NOT what you get.

There's something like Saturn at day, Uranus at night or something.

Dual rulers Uranus/Saturn... you feel like Uranian energy. I'm definitely Uranian energy but Capricorn Ascendant... what you see is NOT what you get.

There's something like Saturn at day, Uranus at night or something.

i often feel p uranian but the saturnine elements feels so heavy w/ me on the day to day.

uranus is my chart ruler & depending which calculator you use, i am either pluto or uranus dom. i feel more uranian than plutonian, for sure.

I see plutonian as well based on the things you go through and the culture you associate with. I really see the combo.

For me as an Aqua Venus, the moment I realize there’s incompatibility that would kill the possibility of a future, I detach. I’m all about compromises and working on things, and I will discuss how to make things better so both people are happy. But, if I notice the patterns are not changing or stopping, I shut off my emotions and interest completely.

Ugh yes cold... but recent one wanted an instant relationship. So he could have sex, companionship but didn’t really put love into that equation. Weird.

Now wants friendship when I was not happy with his behavior and wasn’t interested in dating anymore ... hmmmm is this normal aqua Venus?

They'd date anybody, don't care about looks, attracted to any kind of people, open-minded, they're quite hippies. Thy seem cold but are quite the opposite actually. Strangely, they are like Pisces venus in a way, they tend to fall for the "wrong" people. Often impossible or one-sided/unrequited love. Since venus rules over your fashion style too, they dress up as hippies lol. They like simple stuff and their freedom.

I’m not aversive or discriminate on people’s idiosyncrasies, so that can be ascribed to Aquas liking weird people. I don’t even know about the hippie dressing and all. Can’t relate to any of that. My bestie is also Aqua venus and her dressing sense is pretty stylish and elegant too. Both our style s would be deemed lady like but nothing hippie about it.

Personally, i find the cloak of friendship to be a hoax if there was romance initially. Just a sleezy way to get a foot in the door again.

A certain guy told me once that a guy who really cares will agree to be your friend and hope you will change your mind. Not sure that’s sleazy. But, I do get this sometimes. Eventually they go away, well except one in my life. The one who told me that lol.

Anyway this one just moved here & is lonely, needs a friend more than a relationship I’d say.

Hippie is more Aqua than Aqua Venus. You're more of the intellectual, knowledgeable type Aqua that's often characteristic of the males than some of the dingbat hippie Aqua females pretending to be overly accepting but lack any true knowledge.

That's why we're the pickiest Venus. I have Aqua09's looks standards (8 or above) but also if they're lame, ignorant, or without character, I can't find them attractive no matter what they look like.

My Cap bro is also Aqua venus and he never dated a woman below 8. However, for marriage, he married someone who is average looking (something that shocked my entire family) but she’s sensible and authentic. Also, she’s Aqua moon. I can date a guy who is average but his intellect and sensibility better be up to par. It’s looks + brains +friendship = bagging venus in Aqua. Hence, the pickiness.

Are you sure it's not your aquarius moon and mercury speaking ? It was just my pov about aqua venus. Those are the things I've noticed about them. Athough I agree, sometimes they dress up stylish, again it all depends of the others placement of your chart.

I don’t think sense of dressing is reflective of Venus in Aqua. I think that is attributable to some other placement.

Yeah. I tend to not want to give up companionship either.. my aqua moon perhaps? Yes we get along well, and enjoy spending time together. There is just an aspect that means it’s not a good romantic space for me.
