Both I guess, from my experience with Aquas.

Yes they do...i had two do that to me. One said that he dare not look into my eyes when we made love in case he lost himself in me too much 😢. I know both those men loved me deeply, but kept themselves detached

Look at the Aquarian symbol...do you see that water carrier that the man holds...well the emotions are all contained in it..if it was to burst open, can you imagine what would happen?

....i think also that is why so many Aqua men are drawn to Scorp women...the watery depths are something they want to explore, but know they can't in fear of losing themselves

I think it depends on the aqua.

With my ex she showed me lots of her emotions and was very comfortable with me, told me I made her happy etc. She even told me she loved me first.

Then when things went sour she just put the barriers up and didn't communicate at all.

It has piqued my interest. Such curious creatures you Aquas are.

First thing I'm doing when I discover feelings for you is trying to explain them to me. They have to be put into perspective, otherwise they confuse me completely. If this doesn't work out, I pull back until I'm dead sure how I can handle this.

If I'm already on fire, keeping somebody at arm's length for long isn't going to work out. But I have to try it every single time! Keeps me sane. 😉

have never had an aqua avoiding me so I don't think so. my aqua ex was super clingy. he wanted to be together 24/7.

If you make us "feel" too much too soon, yes we keep you at arms length. It's a defense wall because we're still uncertain if we can trust you. It's not a bad thing, we're just taking note now. Also, we live off of feeling/emotions. We're very selective on who we let in so the fact that you sneaked in so quickly out of no where makes us feel eerie but alive. If you keep around, we see that as a sign of trust. Stick it out...Aquarius once we show you our true colors after trust, you'll be our world.

We've been friends for years and recently he's been very distant. But randomly messages to say he needs to plan a visit and then off he goes again.

I don't try to pin him down anymore, but when we are in person, we are very in sync and there is a really intense pull there. And then we are apart and POOF.

I am not putting much stock into, just really missing our convos.

this is gonna sound very confusing, but it really isn't.

deep down aquas are clingy, needy, want to feel loved and wanted, romanced, all the mushy things

unfortunately, we don't know how to voice that or show it, so we come off real awkward. or we just push it all the way down and it makes it seem like we are pulling away. deep down the tiny voice in their head is saying "notice me senpai!"

in reality, i push people away because I'm scared and because it's safe in my little world.

and even though we want those things i mentioned up there, when you push at it, we just pull away because damn, don't come on so strong. 😛

and if we are being clingy, we are still in a sense detached, if that makes sense.

just be patient and help us find a balance. we can surely reach it.

trust me, you will know when an aqua truly loves you.

This taurus man has helped me plenty and we are doing great. it's the best feeling ever. 🙂

Don't mean to bump into your thread though this comment totally got me.. I have moon in Aqua and sun in Taurus so I understand the need to detach in order to attach again then detach.... though, this Aqua man im seeing is showing similar signs... I am the one who seem to be a bit more consistence and help him feel more consistence... please share with me how the Taurus sun is helping you too! ? I read soemhweee that Aqua and Taurus r actually a great match because Taurus help Aqua come back on earth when they feel the need to flee lol... I give him lots of spaces when I feel like He needs them... although I also feel like giving up coz I don't know what it is that he truly wants... me bein Aqua moon struggle to express emotion freely too and it isn't helping much if my Aqua also doesn't express those in distance.. it becomes a roller costed of push and pull... in person though it's amazing.. we can both freely express our affection physically so that just shut up all the push and pull non sense... , so in short, what do you need in a partner?

I have an aqua moon and other planets...i always distance myself when things get too intense. I detach and sort through and then come back.

Both. Currently keeping my Leo at arms length because he is away for a month for job training. I don't want to get too emotionally involved too soon in case he comes back a different person. Not saying he would but I hate the feels.

That makes some sense. Maybe he is scared I have changed. Unfortunately we really dont see each other as much.

I am hoping that'll change soon.

His moon is in Pisces so I imagine the feels are some what deep at times.

what do i need in a partner? consistency and stability. i know it sounds so confusing because even though that is what i look for in a partner, if it stays that way too long, i will get bored of the routine. you just have to find a balance with your aqua. even though aqua likes to be out and about, meeting new people, trust me, it gets very old and we long for a partner who can show us a different way of how we can enjoy life. someone to really connect with and talk to about anything. how long have you been seeing him?

for example, with me and taurus, i sleep over his house every weekend. it's a routine i really like, but we do different things. some nights we will cook and stay in and watch a movie, other nights we will go for a simple bike ride. i don't think aquas are hard to please. also, taurus really helps because he communicates very well and is extremely patient. and of course, as an aqua, it's very hard to say exactly what i mean, but i noticed that i am trying harder to be more vocal about everything. i hope it helps. 🙂
