Pisces Venus in 12th.
I listen to electronic music, including both mainstream stuff and more unique tracks.
I am also producing some tunes myself, but they are far from done.

Aries venus
5th house
Square Neptune
Imo, just listening and enjoying music is art in itself too
I like all kinds of music, as I like all kinds of stories... and a song/composition/melody is a story
Love singing... it rejuvenates me. I'm only a shadow of myself without the possibility to sing, it's serioisly something that keeps me happy... sane, alive
Music is really, really of great significance to me

Venus in Sag..7th house(actually at the end of 6th..so astrodienst shows it as 7th)
I listen to music when I workout or when I have any work to get done. I find music depressing than uplifting many times.

Venus in Taurus, in the 5th house. Sextile Jupiter and Mercury. I love and need music. It's like jumping in the clear, blue sea on a hot, summer day.

Venus Opposition Ascendant
I tend to avoid music for the most part..unless I have any new favs or have work to do like I said.

Venus in 6th in Taurus - love all kinds of music, my play list would give you whiplash from all the different genres on there and I listen all day.

Gemini in the 8th. I love music. Good music anyway. Some of the stuff out there is garbage. 🙂

I like anything with a nice melody, mostly songs that sound sad, or its relaxing, or chill music..if there's no melody I won't listen to it.
Or just music with a lot of sharps& flats in the melody idk I think it's cool
And there needs to be a story
🙂
Which is why I only listen to a handful of rap artists because many lack storytelling skills and a good beat...
I listen to mostly underground rap, metal, metal core and all the other core genres, indie, country, some euro pop music
I hate dubstep, Edm, techno trash.
I hate it all.

Aries Venus 11th house.
I have synethesia, and because of this I am always exploring sounds, therefore am open to most genres of music. I not only listen to music, but also see and feel it quite acutely.

99.9% of today's music is absolute shit. Nothing but overly manufactured electronic trash, can't tell artists apart anymore.
I also hate anything that doesn't resemble actual music. Rap & hiphop go straight to the trash in my house. Also mindless jamming that is more ear-rape than music goes straight to the trash, like the majority of Linkin Park's material. Strange how I actually like songs that most of their hardcore fans really hate.
I like a good lyrical melody and well-structured song. The richer the music, the better.

My Venus is in Gemini and sits in the 8th house.
My opinion on music is this video is better than 90% of the music that is released today:
I mostly listen to dark toned classical music and video game music. They simply have more heart and substance and don't follow any trends.

Venus in scorpio in 8th house....
Music heals everyone. But to me it also gives me power/strength if it's the right type of it. Depends on my mood. Love dark music, like halsey - castle, what kind of man - florence, the duel - RSM...

Venus in cancer in the 9th house. three words... I LOVE music.
Venus in Scorpio in the 11th
I like hip hop, R&B, and pop specifically, but I'm open to listening to anything. I don't mind jamming to someone else's music but I have my own special playlist.
I listen to a lot of Weeknd and Drake, and I'm not opposed to some of the more popular songs out there. Then again, it could be just because I'm young.

1st House Venus in Leo (come on baby - light my fire...^ ^).
Music is one of the few passions - i happen to have in common with a big majority... an universal language (if you will). I'm still dabbling with its verbal expression - still a novice at that, though - i'm doing better with body language and i'm a good listener too...^^ I don't know about others - but for me even listening... it took me many years to get to this point, from a time when only the tune would speak to me - while the words were more or less background noise - to a point where i could actually feel a song as a whole. And not just the words or the tune, but... the unique vibrational imprint of a specific song - its spirit (It can posses you - if you let it...). Well, the ones that have a spirit - that is, though... it's hard to say - if a song was imbued with the spirit of its creator, if he poured his soul in his creation or maybe... even the artist was a tool for something else (could be a mix of both...). This reminds me of two verses from a song:
"some of it is just transcendental, some of it is just really dumb..."
That would explain - why the music that's made for profit - turns into garbage (and there's piles and piles of garbage out there) - while the music that's soulbound (so to speak) - turns into art...
What can i say... it's an active part of my life, always has been and allays will be (there's not many things i'm sure of, but music... proved to be among those rare exceptions). Change does affect music as well, so yeah... my tastes might change (as they did before) - but it's still music... and i'm sure to fall in love with it all over again. Not surprisingly, that's also - what i call real love (to be able to fall... [scratch that] / to be able to rise in love with the same entity over and over again - but for different reasons / since love is an evolutionary/creative process - that's one way to keep up with it - to keep the flame alive... through reignition... ^ ^). Hmm, this reminds me of that song again, as in...
"Music is insanity..." There's so much truth in that, and yet... this is something i learned only in the past months. It was one of those eureka moments - a big discovery, like... finding a missing puzzle - from a big chapter of my life. It's not something i discovered on my own - someone actually told me this directly (: and she said it so easily/relaxed - as if for her this is common knowledge... ^ ^). There's even an irony to this, as in: music is a form of insanity that can keep us sane (since we can express our insanity through it, be it... as one who sings, as one who dances - or even as a listener).
Also, and i don't know if this is that unusual, but - i was never quite sure how to answer the question - "what is your favorite musical genre?" - cause... I like all types of music - even from opposite genres.
LE: There's so much more that can be said on this meaningful subject (maybe i should put it in a song, more like albums, well... i could only write the lyrics - for now : ). As @Fragrance pointed out - music is also, a form of storytelling (every musical/melodious creation can tell a story), same as written content or a movie (the latter is actually is a mix both), just older... much older (ancient), the first of its kind (as history goes to prove - humans learn to sing long before they learned to write). Usually, it's a short story and yet... it can be quite impactful (depends how strong is the essence of a melody or if we have what it takes to appreciate it), a story that comes in all kind of flavors: uplifting, emotional, spiritual, light or dark in nature, stories that carry a inspirational message or stories that speak directly to our heart... There can be little words or none - if the audio waves are melodious - they can still move us, after all... the word Heart - starts with "Hear" and it ends with "art" - while in the middle we have the word "ear". ^ ^ And even the word "record/recording" has the word heart in it (the latin version of heart is "cor" - which, figuratively - used to be acknowledged as mind and soul), a word that comes from a time - when people used to see the heart - as the place where we store our memories... ^ ^
They weren't far from truth tho... both the heart and the brain - are essential for music to be possible (as can be seen on a RMN scan - our brain lights like a xmas three while listening to a song - and same can be said about the creative process / and it does that with the help of the heart... an influential core of our being : ).
Anyway, i'll stop here and end this with a song (seems appropriate... ^ ^).
