I've only been with, Biblically speaking, 2 Cancers. Difficult to say. But it does seem to me you need to really careful, there. I mean, you obviously didn't quite have the same view of the sex, so maybe you misread them during. I would like to add that I have absolutely nothing against rough sex...just as long as it's consensual. The ones who don't want it, shouldn't have to engage in it. Imo.

Sure. I totally get that they get more time that way, which is good. When I have been proposed to that idea, we have talked about it before or it has been in actual relationships...which has made it possible for them to bring it up at any time, because then they already know that I'm very much open to suggestions.
I know me and what I like. I think it depends a lot on who they're with. The guys that have suggested stuff to me have already known I'm not easily shocked...but they and other guys who are just my friends have said that with other girls, it may have taken them months, and in one case, years to suggest it.

Not shy as much as unafraid, I think, or open minded. Even if they ofc won't know if she will be into the idea, they don't want her to leave or think they're creepy for bringing it up. The fact that they had such a strong negative reaction is a cautionary tale in and of itself. Maybe you should use a safe word in the future. That way they have the option of backing out once they find out 'what their in for'. Cause at some point they went from consenting to 'fuck no'. You know.
