I guess I'm so used to hearing that Leo's will hunt and chase you if they are really interested and that u will definitely know when they want you and I also feel like this is true for a man by nature..so in my snenario, lack there of is making me feel like maybe he's just not interested. I don't get any other reason why he wouldn't put forth more consistent effort...??‍♀️
Well that's the key point, if a Leo is "really interested" they will pursue you more. It all depends on the level of interest. Leos aren't indiscriminate chasers. We are looking for the right person who will command our attention rather than demand or attention. Once a person commands our attention (and has it), then they can demand it. A lot of people miss the first part and shoot right to the second by either being too overbearing or too manipulative with us.

That being said, the Leo may just be observing you. He's letting you roam around while he figures out your intentions. In which case, being direct with the Leo may help move things along. However if the Leo isn't really trying to keep you around, then it's highly possible he isn't that interested in you. It's possible you're an option, but not his focus right now.

Right, so the Cub phase is the emotionally immature stage. Leos are very energetic and full of ego at this point. The more negative traits can be prominent here including jealousy, possessiveness, and "show off" tendencies. Cubs tend to be more fearful and use their large egos to protect themselves. They are emotional creatures, prone to fits and tantrums. Cubs can be selfish and averse to change. This is often misunderstood as the children's phase, but adults can be Cubs too.

This phase is very self-centric, hence the idea Cubs believes the world revolves around them. In this phase, the Leo has a hard time understanding the world from another person's perspective. Cubs are also very heavy handed, preferring the world to work their way. In fact the world exists a benefit to the Cub. This is also why many believe Leos always need to be the center of attention. The easiest way to describe this phase is "unnecessarily entitled".

The positive qualities are still budding in this phase and Cubs will exhibit natural leadership qualities. Cubs though often fearful, exhibit a strange self confidence too. This is where the creative and academic side of Leo is most prominent. Cubs are like sponges, eager to learn and able to retain large quantities of information. This of course can result in "know-it-all-ism". The sense of self expression exudes in a variety of forms, but the world is a vast canvas of possibility. A Cub may discover their favorite hobby or even the makings of their professional career in this phase. This is also why Leos are generally skilled and goal oriented later in life. Our goals are our core belief, our imaginary friend that we take with us into adulthood.

The Lion phase has had some time to mature and experience a world that is not completely centered around them. The sense of self is still strong and the unchecked ego of the cub has evolved into a sense of pride. Unlike the cub that has no real reason for it's sense of entitlement, a Lion has some experience to back up its arrogance. The Lion through the years has had a taste of power, fame and can see its talents at work. It's no longer hiding behind its ego as a means to compensate for its fear of the outside world.

The Lion can still be possessive and arrogant like the cub, but there will be a rationale behind it all. Logic begins to take over in a Leo's mind instead, where emotion once ruled solely in the heart. The Lion understands its power. The Lion has also had to endure some hardships or loss. The ability to understand the world through the eyes of others is possible in this phase. Lions can, and generally will, be the center of attention due to the relationships they have cultivated. This is where loyalty becomes most important to a Leo.

While the cub may have cultivated a number of friendships, the ability to hold on to those relationships was not as strong as in the Lion's phase. The Lion can see the power in numbers, in having a support structure of some kind. However these relationships in some ways still serve the ego of the Lion as well. The garnering of acquaintances is not a wholly altruistic endeavor. The Lion seeks to build a name and reputation for itself, and what better way to do it than by creating a network of contacts. An easy way to describe a lion is "noticeably connected".

The Lion is far more charming and well mannered in this phase. This is after all the phase when suitors are more prominent. If there is a harem of romantic options, it is created in this phase. The Lion is cocky and flaunts its strengths while hiding its weaknesses. The Lion appears very strong, but still retains the sensitivity of the cub. That is because the eternally optimistic energy of the cub never truly goes away. The world is still a rich tapestry to a Lion as a result, but it is hear where the Lion puts it's energy to good use.

Most Leos stop evolving at this phase, which is understandable. Relationships, reputation, and careers are built here. Evolving past this phase can be difficult to those looking for instant graitfication. (For the fellow nerds, think Pikachu. Sure evolving from Pichu to Pikachu makes sense, but going beyond to Raichu doesn't always sound appealing). The Lion believes itself to be at the top, which in many ways may be true, but isn't entirely accurate. The Lion still suffers from negative traits that can be detrimental to its confidence and self-esteem. The Lion still suffers from wanting to have its own needs met.

The Lion phase is also where the decans are easiest to observe too. I generally say the Leo decans breakdown into three categories: the academic, the artist, and the authority. I won't go into them here, but the evolution from Cub to Lion culminates in the emergence of the decan's traits.

The Sphinx phase is what every Leo unknowingly aspires to be. The Sphinx is highly revered for wisdom and is the most exalted phase of a Leo. The Sphinx had undergone self realization to the point that it has gained true understanding of itself and the world it. As a result it controls its environment in a way that a cub or lion simply can't.

In order for a Leo to evolve to a Sphinx, the lion must shed itself of its need for recognition and power. It must in that way shed it's sense of self. A Sphinx understands the golden rule, "do unto others as you would have them to do unto you." The Sphinx sheds its need to directly influence the world in order to gain higher knowledge. The influence of a Sphinx therefore is more indirect, with it leading by example rather than command.

If a cub is a prince, and a lion a king, then a Sphinx is a pioneer. It is a founding father that leads its people to prosperity not for its own personal gain, but for the benefit of future generations. A Sphinx's main goal is to teach, to better others through acts of service rather than acts of self. The Sphinx ideas can be similar to those found in Aquarius, being more humanitarian than the other phases. Unlike the cub that wants to move mountains, and the lion that can move mountains, the Sphinx doesn't need to move anything. It is satisfied, no longer needing to create out of need, but more so out of desire.

In a way the world almost seems to revolve around the Sphinx only in the sense that people desire its presence. It is not looking for attention, but will not shun it either. The Sphinx uses this nature of humanity to better it. The Sphinx no longer needs its network of relationships, but paradoxically is able to cultivate more friendships as a result. People gravitate to it because of the warmth it exudes. This is because the Sphinx has also purged itself of its destructive qualities, only keeping the positive aspects of the cub (creativity) and the lion (knowledge), to cultivate a demeanor that is "inexplicably wise".
Thank you very much for this answer! I appreciate the detail that you went into in order to make each phase, and how it manifests, clear. As others on DXP have noted, you write very well. Do you have any plans to write a book about Leos? If not, hopefully you'll consider it.

Do any famous Leo people stand out to you as being examples of the Sphinx phase?

Thanks again for your reply -- it's even more than I had hoped for with information. :-)

I'm contemplating writing a book, but not entirely sure where the focus would be yet. The funny thing about the phases is that they aren't always so clean cut. People can have varying degrees of each phase. So a cub may exhibit some lion or even sphinx-like qualities. To err is human, so no one can be perfect all of the time.

The qualities of the Sphinx are also by nature more subtle. So I don't think too many famous Leos (whose very desire is to be the center of attention) would be a good example of that phase. However I do believe that the former U.S. president, Barack Obama, (however controversial this may be) had many sphinx-like qualities as he was the only president in a while who wasn't mired in sleaze or some scandal. He also enacted certain policies that, while entirely unexciting (for example adjustments to credit card rate), helped the majority of the country in unrecognized ways. Compared to his predecessor and successor, I think historians will be very kind to him.

Hopefully you'll know where the focus for your book(s) should be soon. :-)

That makes sense with the phases having overlaps.

Good point about famous Leos and the example you gave of a famous Leo who can qualify.

I think I've seen some of the phases in Leo moon people I know too (my father and sister have Leo moon, for example).

Right, so the Cub phase is the emotionally immature stage. Leos are very energetic and full of ego at this point. The more negative traits can be prominent here including jealousy, possessiveness, and "show off" tendencies. Cubs tend to be more fearful and use their large egos to protect themselves. This phase is very self-centric, hence the idea Cubs believes the world revolves around them. In this phase, the Leo has a hard time understanding the world from another person's perspective.

Hahah thanks. I also believe that the more mature or evolved a Leo is, the less noticeable they'll be at first.

Ok I get it.. so last question.lol

So at this point, I've done more initiation, almost feeling like i need to fall back..how many days of no initiation would reference that he's just not that interested?(
I wouldn't count interest by days really. However if you text someone and it takes them days to get back, there's a good chance they aren't really interested.

Do you find yourself to be more compatible with Water & Earth opposed to Fire & Air signs?
I'd be interested in what the other Leos had to say on this one too:

@Leo_Lavish

@Missyxo

Really I'm good with all of the elements. For me personally fire (Aries placements, Leo & Sag suns) and water signs (Scorpio placements) have been easier for me to grasp in relationships. Air signs can throw me for a loop but I am compatible with them as well. Geminis and Libras are drawn to me, but I seem to be more on the same wave length as Aquarius

I make a better friend than lover to earth signs.

i surprisingly have dated alot of libras and geminis are attracted to me but we have silly relationships, the serious ones, the ones i cried out for, the ones i cant get over seem to be earth signs. I have mercury and venus in cancer so maybe thats why i fall head over heels for earth sings and it definitely explains why me and the air signs cant get along emotionally but we always have alot of fun. Fire signs are just a no for me and cant do water signs unless it was a scorpio.

I been in this Leo forum a little too much lately..lol.

But I have one burning question..what's up with this Leo and his texting skills? He NEVER INITIATES well except maybe twice, and then he took days to reply to the conversation that he started.. and when I initiate,he responds n then keeps the convo going.. so is this a game... if he doesn't like to text then why won't he call or something? Am I doing to much chasing like what is it—?? Lbvs
I'm a leo woman but we don't like to text first because we think we are annoying the person or because we want to make sure you actually like us. The whole not texting back thing is because we aren't interested in you or because we want you to pursue us. But overall we don't even like texting we like face to face or phone calls.

Been dating this Leo for the last year, I moved in with him about 3 months ago. Ever since then.... he has been so flaky and distant. He asked me to go to the mall with him to look at something. We went and looked at rings, I was shocked to say the least. I am Libra... He is Leo.... After we got the rings... he hasn't officially ask me and I am not wearing the rings. He has started his distant act again. So frustrated of trying after a year to figure this Leo out. Any insight—?

You are a libra work your charm... I'm a leo and I love libras what you have to do is act a little distant back with an occasion ego stroke. I'm pretty sure you guys have an undeniable connection as I still have my connection 3 years later been in two other relationships after my libra man.

Just ask him why he's been acting so weird. Again direct approach is best with us Leos. If I had to guess it sounds like he's going to pop the question, no? Why else would he take you out to buy rings after all. It's possible his distancing acts if either A) to get you to confront him so he can pull some elaborate act or B) he is trying to square away his own affairs first.

Again, just ask him why he's been acting strangely.

I matched (tinder) with this swedish guy way back november 2016 but we never met in person. We chatted for months and then he decided to fly here in Singapore to meet me. We were shy at first but then we really clicked and spent one wk here before he flew to phuket. Communication before we met was good, the usual updates for the day, goodmorning goodnight msgs and phone calls. Then he disappears! Ofcourse I got rattled and then he reappears and says he thought about things and he must fly to me to know if I am the one. Then normal msgs and then he disappears and reappears and ofcourse I was pissed with these, then he then sends me a photo of his flight itinerary and will arrive in Singapore tomorrow! (this was mid may) Like wtf?! Dont get me wrong,I'm happy he is flying but everything is just all of a sudden. So he flew here and eveything went really good, spent one wk together and asked me to be his gf. Then he flew to phuket, wanted me to go there as well but its difficult since I was working. I asked him to choose, whether I go to thailand or I go to sweden. Ofcourse he chose sweden but he still messages me like "I wasn't so important that's why you didn't follow me here in phuket" nut I told him I can go for sick keave and fly to him then he suddenly doesnt want to. And then he became busy in Phuket and txts not so often. Ofcourse he disappears and then suddenly messages me that he misses me,and so inlove with me then vanishes again? Then we applied for the visa so I can visit him and it was a stressful week. I said I can fly to thailand and visit him but he said just save your money and days for sweden

So I did what he told me. And then he disappears again and then he came back with a lot of questions like: have you told your whole family about us? What do they think? Etc etc and then he said since he is going back home,he will tell his family about us and then bam! He said-- "maybe we should get married" and then asked where do we want to live etc etc and taljing about adopting a kid etc I get his point like how can we be together if we are not together physically and countries apart. But everything is like so sudden. So after all the emotions for one day,he then disappears again, like wtf?! After you ask me to marry you then you disappear again—?? Ugh!!!! I don't know what to do now...help? I'm a leo woman but I am not like this so I am so confused. Its like he pulls away, thinks and then comes back. Why not he just tell me he is thinking or something instead of just vanishing

There are A LOT of red flags. To boil it down this guy pops in and out with communication, but has mentioned meeting each others families and getting married after only spending a week together in person. This guy is moving way too fast, which is never a good sign.

My suggestion would be to tell him that you want to get to know him better and have consistent communication before involving your families or getting married. For all that you know he could be doing/saying the exact same thing to other women.

1) Why some leo men tends to be really abusive in relationship ? It's because of insecurities ?

2) Do they tend to lie or hide things ?

3) Are Leos really that self-centered ? Or it's just a minority who is like that ?

4) With which sign you feel more compatible with ?
1) If someone is abusive it generally stems from past trauma and/or low self esteem which results in a need to dominate or control. This is a trait that can be found in any of the signs, not just Leo.

2) Not really, though any sign can lie. Leos tend to be more direct and honest with our intentions, but again anyone can lie.

3) Leos can be self centered, arrogant, and ego focused when we are less mature or unevolved. Mature Leos are generally not this way though.

4) I personally get along with most if not all of the signs due to my placements. Leos in general tend to get along with everyone. We usually get along well with other fire and air signs though.
First of all, thank you for your responses ^^

I know that this trait can be found in any of the signs, it's a topic that has nothing to do with astrology in the first place, i asked without thinking twice ( and honestly because i had a biased opinion because of what i've read and lived also in the past )

But my real question is do Leos prefer " submissive " kind of personality or a " strong " one ? Since you are

more dominant ( i think )

What are your placements ?
We like our partners who can be our equals. Strong enough to stand up to us, but also willing to let us lead. Leo's don't like to be led or dominated fully (though we are more than willing to hand over the reins to our partner in the bedroom). Being to strong willed will cause a lover to butt heads with a Leo and a partner who is too submissive will bore us.

...now here's the million dollar question...

what is too strong willed...??

... and what is too submissive..?

and who generally...fits the bill for both...based on sign stereotypes of course...

A person who is too strong willed is one who stifles a Leo's freedom or who frequently undercuts a Leo's decision making. Leos think creatively and generally like to be in control (of at least of ourselves). So when someone takes away that freedom, we don't like it.

A person who is too submissive would be one who is too passive or one who doesn't add any energy to the relationship. Leos like someone who can at least understand our dynamic energy and creative process, even if that other person doesn't match that energy themselves. So someone who negative or an energy vampire won't do well with us either.

(Edit, just realized I didn't answer the second part of your question.)

Personally I tend to avoid relationships with Aries and Taurus women due to their nature of being a bit overbearing for my tastes. I know one Aries woman who is laid back, but the majority of them have been far too dramatic and immature for my tastes. That being said, I'm usually cool with Aries and Taurus placements.

Taurus women make great friends, but they get stubborn about the weirdest things, which is a turn off for me. I'm not being a fan of being told what to do, especially when the idea doesn't make sense to me. I also am open to compromise, which can be difficult for both Aries and Taurus women. These women typically want things to happen their way, which is frustrating to me because I like having multiple options.

I don't know if I've come across women who are too submissive. I don't think I notice them honestly. That being said I also tend to avoid Capricorn women because they can be depressing and a bit too focused on social status. The last Cap woman I dated was an energy vampire and I haven't run into too many Cap women who seemed to have fun energy. Beyond that I've also encountered a few passive aggressive Pisces women who caused more problems than they solved, so there's a chance I'll never date a Pisces woman either.

I don't like to stereotype people, but those have been my personal experiences.

Do you notice any differences with how male and female Leos express their Leo traits?
I tend to liken Leo men and women to lions and lionesses in the wild. Leo males tend to be more laid back and may be prone to procrastination. We tend to work in bursts, but can get a lot done in a seemingly short amount of time. We often appear to have limitless resources, but this is because of the work we do when we're alone. We happen to be very capable on our own, but we don't mind having things done for us either.

Leo men of course respond best to emotionally strong women, but can attract a variety of different women into our lives. We love to lead, but don't necessarily need to maintain full control if our needs are being met. We like a challenge as long as it meets our own goals and purposes. We can be very lazy if we don't see the need to work. We do have a kingly mindset and are looking for a woman to be our queen. We are extremely loyal to the one we love.

Leo women can be far more aggressive than the men, though not necessarily in a bad way. Like the lioness, the women can be strong-willed and prone to overworking themselves. While Leo men tend to delegate, Leo women tend to regulate. Leo women don't mind being led by a man they respect, just as long as they maintain some control. Like the lioness, the Leo female can be hard to tame.

Leo women may seem too abrasive, intimidating, or domineering for some men. She is however just as sweet as her male counterpart. That's not to say the strong front is a facade, but she is an extremely loving and loyal mate. Leo women also tend to have a very strong sense of self that seems to come more inherently to them than the males. Like the males, a Leo female easily attracts attention, but may not have the same tight knit group of friends Leo males tend to accumulate. Instead she may be more prone to having even more lovers at his disposal instead. This isn't to say she isn't loyal. She can be fiercely loyal to a man she regards as her king.

Thanks for these descriptions!

I can definitely see some connection with lion and lioness (feline) behaviour, as you described, in Leo male and female humans I've known.

Do you think people with Leo moon also have gender differences with how the Leo energy manifests?

It's possible, though Leo Suns energy presents itself at times differently than Leo Moon energy. Since Moon energy is more internalized, it is also filtered throught other placements like the sun and rising signs. The descriptions I gave focus more on how Leo Sun energy is presented.

For example, I'm a Virgo Moon. While I do know many Virgo Suns and can empathize with them, my actions can be very different from theirs own due to my Leo Sun. Likewise Virgo Moon energy presents differently than Virgo Sun energy.

One of my best friends is a Scorpio male and I tend to get along with both the males and the females easily. I wouldn't say I've been terribly close to the males (other than my friend) and have known more as acqaintances through work. I've been VERY well acquainted, and even intimate, with female Scorpios though.

There are some solid similarities between Scorpios and Leos which can make friendships fairly simple.

I think so too. I have several Leo friends, female and male.

What similarities do you notice most?

Scorpios and Leos generally like to be in control of our environments and both like to have the best if we can get it. We can both be jealous and possessive of our partners. We can also be workaholics and can build our careeers quietly in the background, though in different ways. We are extremely fixated on loyalty as well. We are also very passionate and very sexual beings, so Scorpio/Leo relationships can be very intense.

How do you comfort a Leo male that is still hurting over his ex?
If your presence isn't enough to grab the Leo's full attention, there isn't anything you can really do. As with any sign, people need time to get over relationships. Once HE is ready to move on from his ex, he will. Until that happens, he is not ready to be with anyone else.

That can easily happen as well. My relationship with my Scorpio ex ended poorly, and I exploded on another Scorpio lady friend years ago after she exploded on me. Problem is when one sign decides to test the other. Both signs can be sensitive about our egos, so it's a recipe for disaster as soon as that line is crossed. I have two more Scorpio lasy friends who I talk to here and there, but it's never been the same since we had our one and only argument.

I've never had any real problems with Scorpio men though.

This may sound cold, but as a man, this is just one of those harsh lessons he'll need to learn. He is shooting himself in the foot by tying up his feelings into a woman who doesn't want him. He could have a woman who cares about him so much she only wants to see him happy (you), but he's too busy sulking about someone else. The self respecting thing for you to do is to leave this guy alone.

What do you guys think about this combo below? 🙂

Me (girl):

Sun - Pisces

Asc - Taurus

Moon - aquarius

Mercury - Aries

Venus - Aries

Mars - Gemini

Jupiter - Leo

Saturn - Aquarius

Uranus - Capricorn

Neptune - capricorn

Pluto - Scorpio

Lilith - Sagittarius

Asc code - Capricorn

My crush (boy):

Sun - Leo

Asc - Libra

Moon - Sagittarius

Mercury - Cancer

Venus - Gemini

Mars - Virgo

Jupiter - Libra

Saturn - Aquarius

Uranus - Capricorn

Neptune - capricorn

Pluto - Scorpio

Lilith - Aries

Asc code - Sagittarius

My guess is that he is going to be vivacious and full of adventure. He's a very social person and probably has a gift of telling jokes and stories. He can be very light and playful in love, but also a bit of a flake and scattered. He's going to get along best with a woman who can keep him mentally stimulated and who won't bore him with the weighty emotions. As a male, his Venus in Gemini means he is attracted to women who likes to converse about a variety of topics. A woman who is light hearted and witty will appeal to him. The way he pursues this woman will be an entirely different story. For all of his cheery placements, his Mars in Virgo means he will be more calculated in his approach. He may be a bit passive too, weighting to see how you fit in his world best. He's looking for an ideal situation, but will not be above "fixing" you to get it. He may also be a bit critical of both himself and the object of his affection as he try to make her "better". He comes across and charming, though a bit indecisive as well.

As for you, you're going to be a bit more detached and free flowing. You don't need to lock anyone down with labels, BUT you are looking for a soulmate. You want someone who understands you inside and out, possibly even better than you understand yourself. Your emotions can change with your environment, which can be hard for you to understand, so you find it best to detach from them. This can mean you feel out other people's emotions more so than your own. You are very direct in speech and thought, much to the surprise of those around you. You can also deceptively explosive emotions. You are quick witted too, which is a plus here and are equally vivaceous and spontaneous when in love. You can be a bit scattered in your pursuit and need a man who can communicate, but not inundate you with heavy emotions.

Oddly enough, I can see this working well as long as there is communication and adventure being shared between you. You both have a very different approach though. You will need more mental stimulation and he will be looking to own your heart eventually. You crave this as well, but will probably be harder to peg. He may give up his pursuit too early as a result.

Oh wise Chuckcem,

I really enjoy reading your responses, they're always detailed and thoughtful. I appreciate your response in my previous post. ? You seem very knowledgeable about Leos so I hope my questions arent a bother. Thanks in advance.

Questions:

1. What are the reasons for a Leo man to contact an ex that dumped him out of the blue? Isn't his ego/ pride bruised enough? He's been texting me like nothing has changed.

2. Besides full natal chart, is there a distinction between the 3 Leo decans relating to relationships and sex?

For sure!

1. Denial / Stubborness. Leos are notorious for licking our wounds when hurt and readjusting our strategy. Breakups can be hard for a Leo to swallow as we see it as a personal failure. So him reaching back out is his way or repairing that damage to his ego/pride. He's trying to fix the error by essentially erasing it.

Likewise it is hard for Leos to truly let go of someone we care about deeply. So this fuels his desire even more to reopen communication with you. Make no mistake a Leo's heart can outmatch his/her own ego if the relationship was deep enough

2. From what I've seen, 1st Decen Leos tend to look for a strong emotional/mental connection with their partners. They are very creative and knowledgeable in their fields, having an ability to excel at the skills they pick up. They can be workaholics and need partners who are also driven (even if they don't realize this themselves). They can also be boastful and have more of a "know it all" mentality, but that also comes with being a Leo. They don't always go for the "most attractive" partners as they can be bit more focused on creating a solid foundation for their love. They are very much looking to bond with someone who fits their idea of compatibility. They do feel deeply and may find themselves making exceptions for a partner's unnecessarily to keep the peace. This may put them in a position of having partners they need to "fix".

Sex with a 1st Decan can be powerful and consistent. They don't necessarily need huge variety as long as there is depth. That's not to say they are prudes since they do desire excitement in the bedroom. They need to be mindful of having their own sexual/physical needs met, since they can give too much of themselves to their partner. This could lead to resentment and frustration down the line if they aren't careful.

2nd Decan Leos tend to look for a strong mental/physical connection. They have a lot of untapped energy and are generally seeking a vast array of knowledge along with wealth (and possibly fame). This can make them the "show offs". This need can spill out into a creative or philosophical mindset. 2nd Decans are said to be lucky and charming, generally able to maneuver through tricky situations in order to climb the social ladder. They are dreamers and tend to think big as well. These Leos can be more flexible when it comes to what they are looking for in their partner, but still retain a firm principles and loyalty regardless. They simply want someone who can keep up with them and support their dreams. They are optimists at the end of the day and can even have a soft spot for helping others. 2nd Decans can be suckers for attention and need to be mindful not to fall for the "shiniest option".

Sex with a 2nd Decan is an adventure. It's is an event and often playful. There is more of a need to explore, so kinkiness may be more present here (within Leonian reason). 2nd Decan Leos want to be total physical immersion during sex. Spontonaity in the bedroom is a plus, but not always necessary. These people do like to explore and must be sure to separate lust from love, lest they fall prey to superficial relationships.

3rd Decan Leos tend to look for a strong physical/emotional connection. They are a bit more strong-willed in their beliefs. They are driven and dominant, sometimes domineering in their ideals. They can be both old fashioned and stubborn in ther beliefs. They are also witty, honest, and generally jovial. They execute plans to things happen quickly. They can also be prone to being "macho" or having "bravado" as they have a strong ideas regarding romance. They are the romantic types, the white knights. 3rd Decans are passionate and will give to their lovers readily and endlessly. They are looking for complete devotion in return and can wind up in situations where they may even be adamantly pushing the entire relationship forward. They can be a bit controlling and even idealistic, so they need to make sure their partners are equally invested in the relationship. They put a lot of pride in their successes, romance included.

Sex with a 3rd Decan is one of honesty. There is a lot of passion here as the lovemaking can be very powerful and direct. Expect this partner to be very goal oriented in the bedroom, having a very clear idea of how to pleasure his/her partner. Sex may be result driven as a result as this boosts the 3rd Decan's ego. Some may be a bit more rigid about how they go about this, since they may be a bit more conservative with their approach. That's not to say they are boring though. They just need to be mindful of keeping an open mind and maintaining some flexibility.

My relationship with my Scorpio ex started off extremely well and great chemistry but eventually became boring to me and I couldn't handle it anymore so I ghosted him. Then we had an on and off relationship which didn't work out. We tried fwb arrangements but it didn't last long. He's still texting me here and there.

He was very romantic in the beginning but became very possessive and clingy so fast. I met his parents and all his friends within 3 months... way too early for me. He called and texted me everyday to the point that I would lie saying I was going to bed to get off the phone. Whenever I went out with my girlfriends he'd tag along and would be all over me, he wouldn't let me out of his sight. Sometimes it's okay... but every time?! He ruined girls night and made me feel like he couldn't trust me to go out without him.

Ouu great insights, thanks for sharing chuckcem! I didn't know so much about myself in love, your comments are a wonderful guide as I now approach relationships, thanks again! Ya I used to think as a Pisces I would come across as mushy. But I think I appear more aloof.

And as for him, he is indeed very cheery around everyone, but perhaps more quiet around me. I remember I pretty much lead the conversation when we were partnered up in class and were forced to talk one on one haha. I probably came across like a playful aries.

He was fairly quiet the whole time, and it made me think I perhaps weren't so interesting to him. I was a bit bummed, so for the remainder of semester I thought I should give him space. He was fairly distant the first semester. He even appeared annoyed at times. Can't say for sure why.

Something changed during the break we had before second semester. I wonder if it was the stress of passing first semester. When he returned, he was more friendly and stared way more often and with greater intensity. We would say hi and smile whenever we crossed paths. We are just starting to get better at holding eye contact for longer than 10 sec. I'm not sure which one of us is the more shy one. If the attraction stays like so, we might end up talking more. We shall see. He is a couple years younger than me though.

Thanks much 🙂 And good luck if you are/ plan to pursue someone!

His Libra ASC would explain that dynamic between you too. I always find it's best to have an aloof presence around air energies, but especially Libra energy. Since this is only his Rising sign though, this will fade as you ge to know him better, so don't worry about it too much.

For sure!

Hi @chuckcem,

I've just been reading about Leo Decans, I'm born on the 7th, so would be a 2nd decan

It's uncanny how much I see myself in the descriptions!

Given I relate, would a Sagi be my best match?

I'm seeing a libra 3rd decan right now. I really like her, but we're struggling to find a real emotional connection right now

Hey glad this rang with you. I'm a 2nd decan myself, so I was really writing from experience on that. I've known a lot of Leos in my life too.

The 2nd decan is said to be a combination of Leo-Sag energy, so I imagine that given the right placements, a relationship with a Sag should be simple enough. Fire signs generally do well with other fire signs anyway. I actually love Sagittarius people and would be open to dating another Sag woman again.

Also know that Leo/Leo relationships can be tricky too. 3rd decan Leos have Leo-Aries energy, which means they can be more impulsive and demanding. There old fashioned nature may clash with your freedom of expression.

Of course like any good Leo relationship, there will inevitably be a clash of egos. Though I will say, you may not find a partner as devoted as a 3rd decan Leo either. I've seen 3rd decan Leos fight for a dying relationship until the bitter end. They can be unbending in their loyalty to their partner.
