I find it funny that a lot of people think my analogy was funny. Hahaha a lot of people have replied with hate to my marriage I think it's sad. All I wanted was some advice. Hey I don't know you and I won't pass judgment on a decision you're making w/ YOUR life, but I will say that marriage is not easy! From your last update obviously that is apparent! As a wife, you have to be willing to submit to your husband and bite your tongue to keep the contention down in a marriage, and at 19/20 years old I don't know if that's going to be an easy task. I recently got married and I tell you, the honeymoon phase gets old a lot quicker than you would think, not that it's just bad shyt happening but it's back to reality, back to work. Nothing stops cuz you're married, so be ready to face everything once the HP is over. If this is a RL situation, blessings and best wishes to you..

I disagree. Without speaking up about issues directly, they can't be resolves, and resentment will build up.

And no one should be expected to "submit" to anyone in a marriage. Submit only to the prevailing logic from calm, rational and honest debates and fair compromise.

My fianc? and I will be tying the knot at the end of the month, and I know marriage will be work, but not because I'm expected to be subservient (lol not happening), but because of a constant desire to make him happy, and vice versa.

(This isn't for the OP though, since it's probably just Aylin troll, but just my thoughts in general. )

I agree with you munchkin. I'll add on my own thoughts here, you shouldn't have to stifle who you are to be in a relationship. Of course the occasional biting of the tongue never hurt anyone, but that's just part of self control and humanity.
I was in a relationship where I stifled myself. I did it to the point that I lost myself. And when shit hit the fan I let myself loose.

Oh sorry mom! I didn't know I had to believe in what everyone else believes in here! I am a Christian and according what I believe in, that what it says! You run your relationships according to what you believe in and I'll do mine the way I think it's right! Even more f you're going by the bible it doesn't say blindly submit to quell contention. iirc, It says submit to your husband as he submits to god. It's not to about biting your tongue, it's about teamwork. Unless you're one of the religions that puts women as second class people...then sure, submit away.
