When you feel needy

How do librans deal with needing someone in their life, romantically? My best friend is a libra with a taurus moon and she told me once that for her to feel that the feeling is "love" she has to feel like she needs the guy. Not clingy-like, more like an equal in her life, a partner.

From what I've seen, they just hoard people to fulfil their emotional needs until THAT person actually comes along.

Overall, a lot of Libras I know are just far too dependent on others for their own happiness.

Because romance is everything to us. We know when a relationship is good or it will end. In the meanwhile, we want to enjoy life, not sit at hope and hopelessly think that love will knock on our door.

Literally the only thing holding me in my depression anymore is the fact that I can't go my entire life without love. It makes me feel really suicidal when i think about how i'll probably be all alone forever though HAHAHAHAHAHAHAhahaahaha... ha... ha... yeah...

I mean I fucking get that there is more to life. But no matter how much more I get. Like passion for things. It's just delaying the inevitable requirement. I mean I'll keep going through life, but without love I can only die with a shitload of regrets.

It was always the main crux of any unhappiness i felt. I wanted to share my experiences with someone i considered special. the catch was i was so fussy that no one ever measured up. i wouldn't settle for anything less than what i wanted. eventually i accepted that it would probably result in a life alone and only half lived.

like others said, it's a dramatic and not necessarily reasonable way to live but it was the way i felt.

Without someone to share your life with, life feels incomplete..? What about someone who walks into your life and you feel like you need him/her (romantically)? What my ftiend said about love, is that true for all libras?

@jeane: my guy friend is like that too, except he fell for this pisces, chased her for a year and half but her response was indifference. He tried to move one by dating a aquarian then ended it in 3 months. Now he feels like he needs the pisces girl.

if i so much as mention her name he gets all fidgety and blushes.

I have no idea how to help him...

for me, there has to be a "need" like your friend says, otherwise what is the point? if i feel less that completely smitten by them then i would rather be alone. like rocky describes, librans flit and float from lover to lover as they fall in love with love however that was never the case for me. i found it easy to be fairly indifferent (or at least, control my emotions) until one day i met someone and i couldn't any longer. then again, i have a scorpio venus so perhaps that has something to do with it.

i afraid i don't know how to help your guy friend either! is suppose the only thing is the let him pine. perhaps he enjoys the idea of someone unattainable, someone he can't charm. longing for the one you can't have is quite a romantic notion, after all.

possibly if she was to show an interest he would lose his. when i was younger, on the odd occasion when i would crush on people it often was more about the chase and winning someone's attention than any deep feelings i had for the person. and even though i believed my interest was genuine at the time, once i got what i wanted i realised it wasn't that great after all.

When I have someone there I deal with it very well. When I don't, it's hit and miss. I am in love with the idea of love and have no shame in it. When it's working, it's wonderful.

I've chased the wrong woman and held on way longer than I should have before. Tiz is kinda right, the guy is gonna have to figure it out and draw his own lines in the sand. I think the best thing a friend could do is just let him know if he's going too far or moving into stupid territory.

I agree with the comment "Without someone to share your life with, life feels incomplete..?". Not an overbearing depression or nothing, I miss the companionship and comfort of a long term relationship but know that takes time. I look forward to meeting someone who makes me feel that need again.

@librasid: what made you realize she was the wrong woman? If you don't mind me asking..

@tiz: that seems like the only option at this point, he goes NC on her for a couple of days then goes right back to her.....i wouldnt have a problem if they ended up together, shes a good woman and all. But he is suffering and she doesnt feel the same way about him 😢

@jeane: how long were those crushes? Its four years as of now for my friend...

hmm, longest crush was probably a year? I was pretty fickle when i came to those things. they were rare and never completely took me down. i never really let my emotions get the better of me. i was always able to walk away fairly easily, regardless if i was successful or not.

All said and done, we don't want the same things anymore. It was a hard pill to swallow.

Wow..sorry that you feel that way because there is so much more to life than just having someone around in order to feel love. I mean, yes, it's great to be in love and have it reciprocated, but you have to learn to be happy with self first. No one single human being on planet earth can ever make you happy happy because life is full of ups and downs and even if you meet the love of your life and you're blessed to be together til death do you part, guess what? There's still going to be a helluva of lot of sad days in between. That romantic euphoria will always be on and off even when you find that someone special. The good thing about most Libra's is they give their all in relationships...it's just the innate nature of a Libra, so if it doesn't work, you maybe sad for a minute...well..maybe longer than a minute, but like @Anaphora basically said... the optimism always motivates you to dust your self off and try again instead of just sitting around waiting. "Plus, when you give your all and do good by others, good will always come back to you. If you haven't already, you will find the person just right for you

Libra afraid of being lonely.even they not really love someone if they don't have a better choice,they still keep see someone even they don't like too much,just avoiding loneliness.
