Buying used stuff
Shoes and any personal item that could have contact to bodily fluids i.e.underwear, swimsuits, mattresses are a no go for me.
What about when you stay in hotels.....how many people must have slept in those beds? Sweat, semen, vomit etc

These are good points. It's like, on the one hand, anything can be cleaned (I think) but then on the other you sort of think it can't.

Actually I talked to a hotel worker and that's usually the only thing they machine wash.

I take my own sheets..even pillow case..ded srs.. I take a pillow case even when I go to my friends' place for a night out or something ?
Buying a used Mattress... All I can say is if even the trash collector won't pick it up maybe you shouldn't bring one into your home??♀️

Nowadays they're all electronic and I'll buy one if I need it for study and possible resale. There's an art to resale though, there are people who just buy stuff (junk) and resell it on e-bay and make a lot of money doing that.

Perhaps it does depend on the hotel.
But the first thing I was told is never sleep on the bed take the bed spread and sleep on the floor because it's cleaned more often then anything else.

Oh no no no!! I'd never ever read books online. I love the feel of paper n weight of books. They are absolute treasure. It's suchha shame that they're all getting electronic. I'd never ever sell any of them either. I lend them tho.But there are few books I wouldn't even lend at gunshot. But yeah that's a whole different thing.

I like the feel too, I used to like to collect books but then when you have to move you realize how much of a pain in the butt it is to have them.

I sometimes see people selling weird things like "used mattresses" I dont know about you but I think this is kind of gross/disgusting but there must be enough people who think this is fine for it to be such a common thing to be sold. What are your controversial things you like to buy/sell used? Fish tanks? swimsuits? refrigerators? Shoes?
I think for me it would be couches. I know it's not that controversial but I tend to shy away from used things I guess.
