Legal immigrants don't have to worry about anything...where did you hear this from?

Kris Kobach gave police the right to detain legal immigrants in prison until verified as legal. Any citizen could report them even if you just had a gripe with someone. It basically meant as LEGAL immigrant you would have to have papers on you at all times or risk being detained until you could prove it.

Also undocumented is not the same as illegal anyhow.
Do you live in the us?

Most people carry their green cards along with their drivers licenses anyways... you're like supposed to not by law but common sense.
I don't live in the US. Do you live in Ireland? Why should anyone be treated second class because they are not white?

Do you think i would be asked to produce papers walking around? NOPE.

Why ..? Because I look like a white American.

Violence can last a very very long time.
Violence comes with thousands of years growing up on earth.
You have it the wrong way around. Violence only takes a few months in region. Peace can take 800 yrs. Ireland as an island has the longest running conflict in the history of the world.

You are just viewing what I said in a different way then what I mean. You can't just view one tiny portion of humans, you have to look at the whole picture. Then compare that to the earth, then the earth to the universe. There is so much more then just the earth. Eventually you will realize the tiny problems here are nothing when compared to the vastness of our universe. You will also realize the challenges it faces are no different then here on earth.

Calm your tits.

As I said, in the US not Ireland, immigrants are advised to carry their green cards with their regular ID, or at least No matter skin color and this is nothing new I assure you.

It's for their own safety. And it's the smart thing to do. Keep your papers, visa or you green card on you.

Yup. They are treated differently though. And I KNOW this. Lot of them are Irish. And why so harsh with immigration anyways?

I'm not harsh with immigration.

I married a refugee. And a Muslim. And he's white.

I was just making a point that race, religion and immigration are different issues.

My ex was from Europe as well. He spent several years and thousands of dollars to go through the process legally. Immigration is great but there needs to be a record of who enters. That shouldn't even be an issue. Almost every other country in the world has harsh penalties for entering illegally but America mentions it and people get hysterical.

President Trump doesn't seem to worry about them being rapists and bad people though.

Huh? What are you talking about?

He wants to deport ALL ILLEGAL CRIMINALS.

He didn't specify a race. If you get picked up for a felony and you are not here legally then you go home. What is bad about that policy? We have enough citizens that are criminals.

Gay marriage rights will not be taken away.

Women can abort their children all they want but government and tax payer funding for such places will be cut and limit to only emergency cases like rape/etc

Immigrants can have all the rights they want within the law for the safety of everyone else.

We can't let any one just come here without checking their background and who they are... does this come as a suprise? I will say it should be done with tact, and by the books. Not like in an accusing way, but with current affairs, the paranoia is understandable even if it's not correct.

Legal immigrants don't have to worry about anything...where did you hear this from?

illegal immigrants will be dealt with to keep things fair for the legal ones. Priority is the illegal criminals and then they will determine if those illegally here are eligible to go the legal route if they've already established themselves and their children.

NGay marriage is not going to go away.

Women can still have their abortions, funding will go down except for emergency cases.

Women deserve equal pay

Sharia Law is against women's rights af, but I respect people's right to choose their religions.. idk how Trump and them will handle this but...

The minorities and the cops, I don't know if we have any control over this prejudice and shit in the legal system this is not new.. but Hilary wouldn't be able to solve it, I dont think any President could.

Legal immigrants shouldnt be persecuted.

Illegal immigrants need to leave and come back the legal way, that's not fair to everyone else.

Tax free feminine products might be nice.. I don't think it would hurt the tampon/pad industry.. or even a compromise for a tax free period like a few weeks out of the year like they do for school supplies.

Weed should be legal with certain laws in place to keep things from getting crazy.

Gun laws should be tighter, but normal healthy citizens rights to have a gun should not be taken away.

Their won't be a law to stop racist people or stop homophobes. There will never be such things.

The rights we've fought for so far won't get taken away.

Not every immigrant is documented. And I don't believe they will be treated humanely. A man who talks like Trump is fucking racist. You have a racist president. Get real.

Shut the hell up if you have no first hand experience in what you're talking about.

I can't think of any legal immigrant (FYI immigrants are not all Hispanic and Muslim there are... gasp... white immigrants too—) Who walks around without their papers. None.

None.

None.

None.

Unless they are stupid.

Btw...

""Do I have to carry my green card with me?”

Many people ask this question after becoming a permanent resident. The official answer is: Yes, you do. In fact, Form I-797 that came with your fresh new green card says:

When you receive your card you must carry it with you at all times if you are 18 or older. It is the law.

So there you go. The perfect answer."

I would march with organized protests. I have marched here for LGBT rights. Peace marches. Protests against Racism and water charges. I have protested and marched out against austerity.

Have you volunteered to help the homeless?

Have you volunteered at battered women's shelters?

Offered any help at crisis centers that may take volunteers?

Have you PHYSICALLY done anything to help another human being who is being slighted or needs some help?

"Protesting" is for pussies, sorry.

That said, I do feel like turning the expressions of valid concern into outrageous caricatures only diminish the impact of them. It's hard to take screaming people seriously, or people dressed as vaginas. I'd rather there be a more level-headed approach to the protests so that those in power will be more inclined to actually take them seriously.
Those fucking hats are what made me lose ALL respect about this march. I kept hearing about it and whatever, but the more I learned about its fuckery, the less I cared. There was a lot of exclusionary bullshit going on behind the scenes as well. This march wasn't as great as they played it up to be, tbh.

"TAKE US SERIOUSLY. WE'RE WEARING VAGINAS FOR HATS BECAUSE VAGINA = FEMALE POWER!! RAWR!"

*facepalm*

This isn't feminism. It really isn't.

And as paranoid as it sounds, that's how THEY want it. More reasons to make feminism look batshit crazy when it isn't. Yet another power play from the rich white guys- they're the ones spearheading these movements anyway and it's intentional as fuck.

It's a shame nobody seems to freaking realize it. They're too busy throwing tantrums because they didn't get their way in November, which is what all this is really about.

Rage for what though?
Partly fear. Partly rage for human rights.

I laughed at that one.

Russia has a warrant for Soros for his "philanthropy" in that country.

Hungary and Macedonia are going after Soros sponsored NGO's, most likely for their "philanthropic" works.

England isn't very fond of his philanthropy with respect to their currency.

France prosecuted one of philanthropic activities.

And Jews in Hungary I'm sure appreciated the philanthropy he did on behalf of the Nazis...

What news are you listening to? Soros had nothing to do with this. It was a grassroots movement by women in the US. Abortion rights is one issue. The bigger issue is that the President said he could grab women by the pussy and cut healthcare funding, and women wanted to make sure he knows that kind of thinking will not be tolerated. Planned Parenthood is the largest low-cost healthcare association for women in the US who don't have health insurance or another doctor. I used them for years for yearly exams, birth control, and issues with my period. Abortions are only one service they provide.

Also, most of the people marching were also protesting a plethora of other crap Trump has said or promised, cutting education funding, cutting environmental controls, building a giant wall between us and Mexico, banning Muslims from immigrating, creating a Muslim registration system, leaving Nato, and on and on and on.

They will not calm down you can't put rage back in a box. You can't undo it all. That's why you don't divide huge numbers of people up.
Rage for what though?
Partly fear. Partly rage for human rights.

What human rights are being taken from them? You mean the human rights if an unborn baby? Those human rights? I'm not pro or anti abortion btw but really there's a lot more to be upset about in the World then this.

It's illegal even for rape victims to have abortions in my country. Women die here from complications and not being able to have an abortion.

'This is a Catholic country' she would have died in agony. And yes I marched. I will keep marching.
Right, and those are the rights I would be happy to protest for but we are not talking about that. I'm talking about the protests in ??
So you're derailing then?
I guess I'm saying a March about abortion rights compared to the atrocities that are inflicted upon women outside of the US and are allowed to continue are really not comparable. If this was a March about women's rights then what about those women who have none in other countries?
Then start a thread about or march about that. There's always going to be people in worse off situations. Does that mean we should only march and protest the worse thing in the world and nothing else? Has anyone here claimed that abortion rights are the same as the other atrocities faced by women? Are you really that concerned about those women in those other countries because its the first time I've heard you speak about it. Where's your threads about it and tell me about all those times you've marched. You're just derailing.

Nope, I'm saying the March was pointless I mean no one even knows what they were marching for really..? Does anyone know what they were marching for?

The protests aren't going to calm down. Trump is a polarizing figure and the next protest is scheduled on April 15 because he hasn't released his tax return.

I think that Trump was just a catalyst. This country has been divided and on edge for years now, long before Trump entered the picture. It was only a matter of time before things boiled over.

Maybe it's for the best. It is time that the power went back to the people, maybe this is the only way.

Personally, I don't fear a Trump presidency. I'm actually hoping to see some major, positive changes BUT I do detest big government. If this is the beginning of an uprising of the people I am all for it.
You're right. I just don't see the protesting calming down. People don't like Trump and they're going to protest and let you know. Even though Hillary was seen as a corrupt criminal, she still won popular vote by a large amount.. I think 2.5 - 3.5 million people. A vote for Trump was really a vote against Hillary. Trump is just as corrupt as any politician.

This entire thing was part of a bigger plan that failed. Hillary was a terrible candidate that's why Trump was put against her to begin with. The powers that be guaranteed her a win and just assumed that putting Trump in would ensure it. That plan backfired and now they are in panic mode. In reality ANY opponent would have beat Hillary. Maybe this is a lesson for them to stop manipulating our politicics.

And the peaceful protesters can stand out there for 4 years if they want. It is within their rights but something needs to be done about the rioters. They serve no purpose besides causing damage and disruption. Charge them all with felonies and lock them up. And if any of the rioters are illegals, send them home to destroy their own country. There is absolutely no use for those people.

i march and speak out because Native indigenous women face kidnapping, rape, their children being ripped away from them, abuse - just hell on earth daily. and not one news report.

There was a lot happening in the Buffalo area over the past few years regarding native girls just disappearing. It's almost impossible to find anything in the news about it.

exactly. so i can hardly remain calm about this when my sisters are disappearing.

As white as I look, my gr grandmother was 100% Kahnawake and I still am in contact with relatives that live on the reservation. I am definitely sympathetic to those issues.

The person or people that took these girls did so because he assumed they were disposable and nobody would look for them. He was half right. The local law enforcement didn't bat an eye until there was mass outrage and they still haven't done much of an investigation.

Here you go, honey. Head out of ass, por favor.

This was the original one I'd read about this crap happening

https://mobile.nytimes.com/2017/01/09/us/womens-march-on-washington-opens-contentious-dialogues-about-race.html

Then there's this, more recent.

http://nytlive.nytimes.com/womenintheworld/2017/01/19/agenda-for-womens-march-on-washington-has-been-hijacked-by-organizers-bent-on-highlighting-womens-differences/

Oh, look, yet another pointing out this "modern" pseudo feminism that's a total joke, which backed this half assed pos display of fuckery.

https://www.lifesitenews.com/opinion/the-exclusionary-hypocrisy-of-the-womens-march-on-washington

Believe it or not, the entire march proved to be a bunch of bullshit, attention whore seeking crap.

The problem is women are using abortion as birth control. Instead of educating them to have safe sex, MSM is telling them it is okay to have an abortion. Abortion is never meant as birth control.

And Planned Parenthood... I don't think I wanna discuss it. Smh

Okay, here's where YOU'RE wrong and utterly ignorant due to mainstream media.

Planned Parenthood does not hand out abortions like candy. Also, the abortion rates have dropped significantly in the last 30 years or so. Women are not getting them as excessively as you think they are. Not in the numbers you're implying.

You don't even live here, yet you're going around, stating false information as if it's real fact, then saying women here use "MSM" as justification to go around having abortions like they're getting their nails done.

You are incredibly false in your statements and need to find some more legitimate information than the garbage you just spewed. kthx.

Funny, I didn't hear anything about this in all the statements from people who were marching. Well, except for you. I bet a good portion of these idiotic attention whores has no idea this was an issue.

Yep, right there. Funny how that works. Gotta love our media. They pick and choose what we hear and people buy into it all.

You want to talk about rights being violated, most women in certain countries have no rights, they can't even leave their home without a male chaperone. What about these women? And the women violated by men who think it's their right to do so? Where is the justice and match for them? Next time y'all have a March for these women you let me know.

Sooo basically it was an anti-trump march? Since pro-life were not welcomed how you think pro-Trump would have been treated at one of these marches? Why then was it called a "women's march?"
Because it was organized by women and it was mostly women. And I don't give a shit, honestly, what pro-life women thought of it. It happened, it was beautiful and peaceful, and it was their constitutional right to do it.

"I don't care what the facts or the criticism is over all the holes in this 'movement.' It leave me with 'feel good' emotions that something is being 'done' about it and awww. I'll ignore the reality of the situation as long as I feel good about it" < ---biggest problem with "activism" right now. Well, "slacktivism" masquerading as "activism."

I'm not against the protest. It's great to stand up for your beliefs but it's hard to take someone seriously when they are dressed up like a vagina.

And I'm not sexist. A penis costume would be equally ridiculous.
I disagree with using that one example as a way to discredit the entire Women's March. There were about half a million people (men AND women AND children), and I did not see ONE person in that costume. That tells me that wearing that was not widespread in D.C. There were plenty of Pussyhats, though, and my Capricorn and I wore them with pride. #WeWillNotBeDivided

Let me clarify something - this march was no more just about abortion rights than 'Planned Parenthood' is solely about offering abortion services.

There was a WIDE and eclectic representation of various problems, and to narrow the March down to just abortion is both false and reductive. The people there represented the issues they champion, and it is not my place to judge which issues are more important than another.

The reality is: if there is an issue you care about, get out there and voice it and then do something about it to the power of your individual capacity. Don't undercut someone else who is out there because their voice isn't a playback of your own. With all the different voices and different issues being represented - despite being different, they all echoed of desire for JUSTICE.

So what was it about? Nothing in particular?

If that's the case then we should all be in support of it. Obesity rate is too high in this country and a long march would do most women good.
