That's cool..
But in your opinion, which country contributed most to the defeat of Germany in 1945?

I never said.
What I did 'say' was that Chernobly was what destroyed the ussr as a world power and diminished its standing/contribution in the worlds eyes.
But you keep reaching hun. Hold onto this obsessively just like you been holding onto my preference for no social media in my SO.

Posted by Black-MambaFirst of all the decline of USSR started in war world 2 when 1 in 5 men died, secondly Chernobyl? How about the cold war and communism
I've never heard of Chernobyl being the reason for the decline, ever
But I'm willing to learn
She probably just finished watching Chernobyl LOL
But you're right.. the rapid decline of communism in France right after the end of WW2 is the reason. Whereas Communism was at it's strongest during the war, after the defeat of the Axis powers, France and many other countries became weary of communist influence (rightfully so). The French Communist Party never recovered and was basically shut out from the French Government.
Combine that with the Cold War... and History books emphasizing the American liberation of France.

In terms of military effort, one could argue USSR, but if no Lend-Lease via the US, no Soviet army.
Battle of Stalingrad was a big turning point in the East where the German 6th army got annihilated-but the big error was Hitler ignoring his generals.
The opening of a second front via North Africa-Sicily-Italy-Southern France-Normandy was huge and took pressure off of the Soviets.
If the US had stayed neutral in the European theatre, Europe would have looked a lot different.
Chernobyl caused:
1. Genital warts
2. "Studies" majors working at McDonalds with heavy student debt
3. Several cheesy horror movies about the effects of Chernobyl
4. Packages of hot dogs to have a quantity of eight while packages of buns to have a quantity of ten
She is a whore.
