What is the purpose of posting pictures of a series of pictures taken on the same day, weeks apart?
And while doing this, specifically omitting certain facts about it, until Dazed has poked you enough to get you to respond to him. You aren't a liar, per se, you just omit certain facts and it gives off an air of trying to have a more lavish life style , than you may really have. At least, that is what it comes off as.
The same can be said about DJ. Who is an exaggerator extraordinaire in his made up bullshit. From his janitor dad, being rich. To opening up a business in the US, while being a Canadian citizen. His lies were just grandiose, and nutty.
Then there is BHC, whose made comments anywhere from her being an AOC Counsellor, to being a "nurse" that helps drug addicts handing out class A drugs, when all the evidence she provides says otherwise.
And then you got the other random users, that will lie about their age, and other small shit as well. But can't even remember the lies they tell, and end up saying another story that contradicts a story they may have told months ago. And that can be about traumas all the way down to something miniscule, that seems to be done just to "fit in".
This shit doesn't just happen on DXP, but in real life. My ex-roommate had the same issue, as well as @_Dazed's ex-roommate. This topic came up, when we were discussing our ex-roommates and their capacity to lie about all kinds of stuff. Her social media was like a billboard of how "great" her life was, but in real life she was broke, jobless, and nothing as shiny as she showed online. Repo, bankruptcy, collectors from rent a center showing up at the door for her.

From a very young age I been exposed to social media (MySpace during 6th grade) and always having coming across random people on the internet in some form, I just never took what people said online at face value unless in the rare event I met them in person or saw obvious signs that spoke for themselves. Everyone displays a form of facade online and in real life. I think people who push to prove a certain image online are the most shady ones because I don’t know why one would need to feel the need to prove themselves with so much effort to faceless internet people. It usually comes from huge insecurity and desperate urge to seek validation from anywhere. For some at least someone is always out on the interweb to listen and react. It can even be a source of cheap therapy for some.

Snapchat is where I show off a lot about my life style , but it’s moreso when I’m enjoying myself. It’s a good place to catalog memories.

She could have been lying over there as well, for all I know. But she listed place of birth, date of birth, and time of birth. And seemingly spoke very openly about a lot of things over there in regards to her our chart. She also posted a TON of unfiltered pictures too, not the stuff she posted here. Her personality is vastly different, but there is an off chance she could be lying there too. But after scoring through hundreds of posts that spanned 3+ years, she was consistent in her placements. Not like she was on DXP.

I have that same mentality when it comes to my own posting: it’s a normal day, so why would my FB friends care? They probably don’t care to know where I’m traveling to now or what my nails look like this month. But you know who does care? My Snapchat friends.
Snapchat is where I show off a lot about my life style , but it’s moreso when I’m enjoying myself. It’s a good place to catalog memories.
And then obviously showing bits and pieces on here but that’s my inner need to showboat. Prolly is for validation, but at least I’m not seeking it 100% of the time I’m on dxp 🤷♀️
And then I flex on my parents IRL, but that’s mostly to annoy them because they hate the idea of raising a pretentious child (though I think deep down they know they’re the reason I’m rotten 🤷♀️).
I do believe I spend too much time trying to prove myself on here. I’m not necessarily doing it for my own honor. I see people “Like” dazed posts calling me a liar, accusing me of saying this or that, and I just want those people to have the full story before they stand completely behind his accusations. The difference though, is I have a feeling you don't necessarily lie about your life style . Ya know?
So take my ex-roommate for an example. She posts new games she got for her switch. Or when they went to disney world, their bracelets or whatever those things are for the passes and crap. I don't go, but I assume you know what I am talking about. Whatever new purchase she got.
In the meantime, she is shekelbaiting her own friends and family to pay for that stuff because she is really just jobless and lazy. lol She legit used her dying cat, to get one friend to pay $ 350 for it to be put down and cremated, and then got an additional $ 350 from other friends. This is just one of the many shekelbaiting incidents. lol

She could have been lying over there as well, for all I know. But she listed place of birth, date of birth, and time of birth. And seemingly spoke very openly about a lot of things over there in regards to her our chart. She also posted a TON of unfiltered pictures too, not the stuff she posted here. Her personality is vastly different, but there is an off chance she could be lying there too. But after scoring through hundreds of posts that spanned 3+ years, she was consistent in her placements. At first I was smirking at the first part of your message because I was thinking of people who post pictures of their hospital bracelets (even tho it’s unrelated), then I saw the part about the cat and my jaw dropped. I feel like she must not have cared about her cat that much if she milked it’s death like that. Like it’s one thing to rely on friends for emotional support, but to manipulate them with something everyone has a soft spot for is horrible. It’s like people who fake cancer for money.

I can understand lying about certain things to protect your identity if you want to remain anonymous. I think it’s when you hurt people based on your lies or cause others to hurt people based on your lies that it becomes a problem.
I’ve absolutely done wrong based off of that.
It’s much better to go to the person directly if you have issues or get told something and then back out of the convo from whoever started it and move on.
But targeting people and spreading lies specifically to destroy them makes me feel like the person is garbage and not worth speaking to ever again.
After I fucked up last time I’m a lot more cautious about people especially those with sob stories that specifically target what you are weak against.
People can be shady and everyone has their own motivations. Not everyone uses this site the same.
But we all know we aren’t here for the astrology. 😂

Small fibs, aren't really a huge thing.
But I would be lying if I didn't say I often target the folks here that say the most obscure shit, that sounds like crazy ass lies, while either giving advice based on the facade they created and have no real authority to advise about, or the one's that seemingly will add a "trauma" to victimize themselves with an ulterior motive behind it.

She literally milked EVERYTHING. Even her own mom's death that happened just a month prior to her cat's death. She used both to get her dad to give her $ 1000 for "car repairs" and ended up buying a mini fridge with it. I shit you not.
