While this guy is a pseudo-intellectual, I agree with some of his talking points.

The facts are clear, and millennials are the most selfish and self-entitled generation in the history of the Nation.

The only way to really reach these assholes is to show them that they really are useless and vapid, and they need to clean up their acts if they expect to succeed.

I do not, by any means, have an interest in seeing these idiots thrive until they learn some damn respect for other people.

This article right here is proof-positive why I, and so many other Veterans from Generation X and beyond, despise the millennial generation.

I saw two big flaws in this guy's presentation:

1. Generalizing that the millenials got dealt a raw hand.

While I do agree somewhat that the (primarily) baby boomer generation fell flat in giving the millenials a sense of entitlement, implied in the way he presents his argument provides a crutch for millenials to place blame and cry "victim". That does nothing to address the sense of entitlement, and could possibly aggravate it.

2. That it's a corporation's responsibility to continue to raise millenials.

A corporation can teach skill sets, accountability, etc., but its primarily responsibility is to its stakeholders. One could argue the angle that the employees are stakeholders (and I agree), but he doesn't give specifics, so I'm looking at it in the context of his presentation that a corporation needs to be a surrogate parent. Absolutely not.

But a few of his other points I do agree with.

Bottom line: the mid to late 30s and 40s is not a good time to learn life lessons that reality is a bitch.

That stupid yahoo article conveniently left off the fact that the employee wearing Sketchers to work was a combat Veteran with an amputated leg.

I agree.

Snowflakes and corporations are a bad mix.

This is especially true when productivity is a key requirement of employment.

These idiots largely think that showing up to work on time is part of their productive capabilities.

Sorry, I'm Gen X and I don't despise the millennials. If anything, they're doing what we failed to do because we became too indifferent to do anything.

So if you want to speak for yourself, please do so. Just don't say that's how Gen Xers feel. Cos you and your friends aren't fully qualified to speak for an entire generation.

I was speaking from a Veteran's POV, not about Generation X in general.

Trust me, we don't have to think exactly the same (that would be lame).

But I hope we can agree that the total lack of respect oozing out of the millennial generation is horrible to see.

Can you agree on that?

I think the millenials (at least in the US) are going to learn some hard lessions that previous generations learned earlier in life and were able to recover from.

And IMHO, the generation coming up behind the millenials is going to hate them. Anecdotally, I see it already in the teens I encounter for the most part. It's not a good thing.

I do not hate them. I feel bad for them. They did not do this to themselves. Social forces did that do them. I don't think anyone can even grasp what causes them to be so close minded.

My feeling is they got caught up at the wrong place at the wrong time. World became super commercialized, watered down, plain, materialistic and they got caught in that. Lack of spirituality (even fake religion) shaped them to be what they are.

They may go through crazy mid life crises and awaking. Especially if we finally give up on this stupid consumption and commercialization. I wish them well, and hope they regain more identity and start thinking for themselves. First thing they have to do is kill the TV and all social (antisocial to be honest) media.

Well, they can all die and go straight to hell for all I care.

It's their total lack of respect for anyone and/or anything that motivates me to wish for their demise.

Facebook is draining to me. I've deactivated my account yearly, due to this. It allows me to detox from the massive amount of thoughts spewed there. So many, many people posting their every single thought 😒 Even the stupid ones🤦 Facebook creator knows this, thus the 30-day break button has been created. People need a life. Too many folk on Facebook seek validation, attention and the like. It's pitiful. So now, I utilize the delete, block and 30-day break buttons even MORE now than EVER. Couldn't care less about anyone's feelings either. And don't get me started on all the whores looking for their next score, via desperately sending penis pics, porn clips and phoning you w/o permission via FB messenger. F***tards to the extreme 😤 Exhausting and pathetic to say the least.

I quit FB for a about a year or two...I get the concept but I was spending way too much time mindlessly scrolling it everyday to where sometimes hours would go by...it's a time suck. I notice it was starting to make me depressed as well...seeing all the "good" shit going on in everyone's life and I'm like damn, wtf am I doing with mine...when in reality, that's all most post about to get that image (you have the occasional ones who post it all...fights etc).

About a year ago I got back on it...I scroll thru but it's pretty boring...nothing but vids, ads and bs. Majority of the time I don't even look at it...so the break really helped to break that addiction. I don't have any other social media besides Snapchat and I have only one friend on there and that one friend begged me to download it...I only use it for the filters...I don't do the "stories" and all that bs. If people wanna know about my life...they can come ask me in person.

Effortless, you’re a moron of STUNNING proportions. You sound like you abandoned all hopes to mentally mature somewhere in your teens. A fine specimen, indeed.

First you go on a rant how the speaker is “pseudo-intellectual”, then on a crusade against every millenial in the name of older generations (speak for yourself first maybe?), then hide behind some robust misogyny, defend yourself by some randomly placed “get outta my way” statements, and.... finish off with some leftfield link from... Yahoo? Really??

Who hurt you so badly dude? I mean both, emotionally and mentally. Go home.

Still one of my favs

While this guy is a pseudo-intellectual, I agree with some of his talking points.

The facts are clear, and millennials are the most selfish and self-entitled generation in the history of the Nation.

The only way to really reach these assholes is to show them that they really are useless and vapid, and they need to clean up their acts if they expect to succeed.

I do not, by any means, have an interest in seeing these idiots thrive until they learn some damn respect for other people.

This article right here is proof-positive why I, and so many other Veterans from Generation X and beyond, despise the millennial generation.

EVERYONE, and I mean EVERYONE, hates the millenial generation.

The older generations, the youngest generation (Generation Z), and even many millennials can all agree...

The millennials SUCK!!!!

But are they sucking your older, “real” man dick, while you slap them, and call them idiots?

That’s what we wanna know.

Quit being so stupid.

It's both boring and annoying.
