FUCK 2016.

I fucking hate 2016. This was hands down the worst fucking year of my life.

What's the worst thing which happened this year? I mean, there are too damn many horrible things to name.

I guess I'll start - David Bowie's death. Also Alan Rickman.

E: I intended to avoid politics or personal issues because I don't want to cause a flame war. But fuck it.

Brexit is the most retarded shit to ever come out of Britain.

Trump is a disaster for the whole world. The guy will sell my country to Russia.

The brilliant voice of Alan Rickman, my god was it one of a kind.

So a celebrity who you don't personally know or see dying is the worst year of your life? Are you mentally challenged? If so, I'll just quietly leave the thread.

I've had a record year actually.

Family squabbles that i got thrown in middle of, even though I had no idea what was going on. 2 of my aunts whom I grew up being quite close to, died. One from cancer and the other from a heart attack. My mom's health scare that landed her in the hospital.

There were many reasons as to why 2016 was a dreadful year for some, terrorist attacks, political change, refugee crisis, the economical changes, unfortunate natural disasters ... etc.

Tho loosing some icons this year was sad, that's not why this year has sucked for me. It's just kind of icing on the cake. I sware this year is the first time I've seen so many people just not in the mood for the holidays. There has just been this dark cloud looming everywhere. For me the end of the year ends with my last living uncle passing away right after thanksgiving. I just plan on partying like a rock star this new years....but.. the way shit had been going I might not even get to do that. 😢 fml

Yup. Worst year ever hands down. The worst thing that happened to me was the tragic death of my Sag friend. She passed away two weeks ago, literally an hour after her birthday ended at the young age of 25. I was devastated.

2016 was much better to me, than 2014 & 2015. So I'm not complaining. While celebrity deaths are sad, that doesn't ruin my year. I mean, I don't know these people. As long as those I love are all right, so am I.

Thank you. And the scare with my mother was earlier in the year. She is okay now. Both aunts were close to her age, so it drives home.

Car accident. Her friend picked her up from the bar she was celebrating her birthday at, and apparently he was speeding. He lost control of the car and spun out, then the car hit a brick wall and flipped over. 3 people died, and the other is brain dead. My friend died and the driver and another person died. All passed because of a stupid decision to speed...

You want to know what really makes this year shitty?

My 26-year-old cousin was murdered in July this year, a few streets away from his home. And I live in a country with low crime rates. The murderer is still in remand and nothing has been done so far.

His death was followed by other deaths in our extended family, namely an aunt who spent 2 years fighting advanced stage liver and stomach cancer. Her last meal was soft ice cream. And why not mention my grandfather, who passed in mid-October, less than a year after his spouse of 64 years, my grandmother, passed on.

My credit rating is shot to hell, all because I made an impulsive mistake 6 years ago. I had to force myself to do without a lot this year, just to sort that out.

So I don't really think much about celebrities passing. It's sad yes, but it doesn't make much of an impact.

Well for me it's both.

My health really sucks at the moment

Everyone is dying

My friends mom died. A friends dad

My best friend a sag died early last year from cancer

Lost lots of savings

The good

Went to Africa for first time in 15 years

Went to mexico

My brother got a great job at amazon

My sister is finding her footing in Law career

My parents are still struggling health wise but OK

Lots of peace in my family life and work life

I agree absolutely terrible year. My home and car totaled from weather and still dont have windows in my house because of backorders and such mass devastation. Also, broke my ankle at work, first broken bone in my life and this is just the highlight reel, too many things to even list. But this year was also filled with incredible highs, so I wonder if I needed the huge lows to counterbalance the amazing things? I will say I would settle for more moderate highs in 2017 if that means less of the extreme lows, if that's how that works.

2016 is a 9 year, a year of endings. 2017 is a number 1, new beginnings. Count from 1 to 9 the year you were born to this year and see what number you come out with. For example, I was born in '84, this year is a 6 year, so the end of number 6 matters.
