i like her music.. until it became overplayyyyed. i do like her new song but that will too become overplayed.
She's a talented singer, really. Listen to her duets with Tony Bennett. She's perfectly within her rights to express her political views, but I'd rather she didn't blend them into her performances. She isn't any greater thinker than any other nobody who has any particular viewpoint. Artists seem to think that because they have a platform that their viewpoints are somehow more valid than those they disagree with.

I think it is natural that each time in the history somebody gets himself elected by democratic ways to then destroy the democratic ways that those who see the pattern tell about it. Second: Lady Gaga has a crazy following, whether you like it or not. Celebrities should use their voice to speak for the "little people," who have no voice. At least she will be heard, unlike the rest of us. She is a US citizen so I don't see why she can't speak her opinion. I don't feel like you have to be a politician to speak politics. If you live in the US and have an opinion on US politics, why not voice an opinion? I may or may not agree with her opinion, but she does have the right to voice her opinion.

I can't believe that I'm about to defend Tom Brady but maybe he simply doesn't want to publicly discuss politics. No matter what he says, someone will rip it to shreds. I think quite a few celebrities would prefer to not get into it. Religion and politics are very polarizing subjects and people are so fucking sensitive if you disagree with them. Did you ever try having a disagreement with a SJW? It's rarely worth the time or effort.

I guess what I was trying to say just because someone is celebrity doesn't mean they are totally removed from reality. Her family are immigrants, whats happening now in America could've affected her family if their circumstances were different. For people to say she should stay out of it is ludicrous.
I have to say I don't totally agree with you saying public figures are more likely to be considered right with their opinions because they are heard more. It depends on the public figure. If it's a celebrity I don't agree. Sure they have their fans that will agree with them but from my point of view celebrity views are more likely to be dismissed purely because they are celebrities. Just because I'm hearing what they're saying doesn't mean I'm agreeing with them.
