I think people don't know what is truly coming... i am not a dem or republican... for people that wanted to blame either side they need to realize the back lash that comes and the egging and goating of different view points... with or against has turned America into a strange land. I believe America and the the destabilization of the world will have lasting affects that undoubtably will lead to wars.
I personally did not vote this year but we had the worse candidates... in history. I believe that the back lash for the last 8 years will be quite harsh with all the rubbing in dems did... I think that both sides need to find some class again and hope the world in general finds some as well.

I disagree. Her speech was made more powerful by omitting Trump's name. To claim that actors should forfeit their right to free-speech due to their chosen profession is an illogical approach. It's not unlike how people tell football players to shut up and stay quiet about political issues that affect their communities because they play football. Or how the Dixie Chicks were told to "shut up and sing" and were sent death threats because they spoke out against Bush.

In the end Trump won because middle America lost coal, auto, and many other jobs... this is why not just the presidential election was lost but the house as well. In the end it was not the ideals of Trump that people agreed with but more economical policies... it is easier to get along to win votes if people can feed there families... I in no way again think Trump is a good person as far as personal values and did not vote in this election... it however was very obvious that is what happened in key states.

Where is the proof that they are so out of touch? Compared to whom? The people in office? The head of coroporations? Whom? In fact, many celebrities use the money they earn to aid causes that are very much IN TOUCH with real world problems.

I did not watch the speech so I can't comment on the content but I don't care about her political opinions or those of any other celebrity. I have my own and I find it condescending when an actor worth 100 million dollars tries to tell me how to think or how to vote.
People taking things so personally is baffling to me. She said nothing about whom to vote for, nor is she telling you "how to think." She is taking a stand for what she believes in and calling for unity.
Why should that offend you? You have your mind, you have you me spine. What's the worry, then?

Where is this argument that celebs are out of touch coming from? It seems the bread and butter of most who choose to dismiss the opinions of people who have a job in Hollywood. Where is the proof that they are so out of touch? Compared to whom? The people in office? The head of coroporations? Whom? In fact, many celebrities use the money they earned to aid causes that are very much IN TOUCH with real world problems.
It's like that argument that well-known individuals are out of touch has been sent out in a memo or something. We need an episode on Myth Busters on this. Heh. But, then, you didn't hear the speech.

2.I'm that evil Trump voter so I must hate women, babies and puppies

So now people can calm down and realize that their heads are still very much attached to their own bodies, and a celebrity expressing that people should lend their minds in the aid of others doesn't mean that people's heads have suddenly become detached.
