Yeah see and then that same woman will rant about how people over sexualize women's bodies and especially breasts...but they're only feeding their child as nature intended and it shouldn't make anyone uncomfortable...

Thats fine, and I agree...there's nothing wrong with you feeding your child...but why do you feel the need to post pictures of your nipple in the baby's mouth and say "if you don't like it, keep scrolling" ?

But like really why? I'm hoping someone can explain this mindset to me because I find it incredibly tacky

I never understood that blanket business. Have you ever held a blanket over your head while eating? Hard to breathe and uncomfortable.

Poor babies. No respect.

I agree, that is why the women should look for a more private place to feed the baby or carry baby bottles ready.

Cuz that person needs maximum attention? Showing nipples in public isn't enough so gotta take a picture to immortalize that moment for all to see as if she's the first woman to breast feed. Better keep scrolling or she might do this to you.

I don't care what you do with your tits, it's just the hate for formula feeding mothers that bothers the fuck out of me.

I could only breastfeed for 4 months and then I couldn't produce anymore so what is a woman supposed to do, let their kid starve over feeding formula?

It's just another way to one up another and it's sick.

ive seen that. Breastfeeding is a choice and it doesn't work for everyone.

Women have been trying to one up each other since the beginning of time.

I had the SAME thing happen with someone. I called her out on it because I did not understand the whole point. I got the exact same response as well. It's one thing to generally breastfeed because it's necessity. You taking a picture of it and posting it on social media is not necessity. It's you attention whoring and making yourself feel extra special because look, you're nurturing life!!

Good for you. You are no the first person in history to feed a child with your boob and you really do not need to post it online for all to see. It's going beyond need and you're turning it into exhibitionism.

Rockingham is the bogan capital of Australia. I honestly didn't expect anything less. Rampant with white trash single moms on welfare and their 3 illegitimate children and multiple baby dads.

I dont get you. I read that thread on the Cancer board where you were upset that someone could judge you for something you did when you were 18 but you are so quick to judge other people. Knowing full well how hurtful it is.

help me understand you.

It's great you breastfeed your child...but do you really need to post pictures of your nipple in your child's mouth on facebook?

I mean seriously.....taking a shit is natural too...yet you don't really see people posting pictures of themselves cutting one.

Anyone else know one a proud breastfeeder? Does it not totally annoy you? Am I being a bitch?

I can understand your beef if the mom's are posting pics every day with a running dialogue over time but one or two artistic pics is ok.

What the hell is with your comparison though?

I think the point is that just because something is

"natural" doesn't mean it's in good taste to offer a

close-up (in your face... that's the attitude, anyway),

on your favorite social media outlet.

I agree.

God forbid women breastfeed in public without making a

huge, fking spectacle of it (look at me!!).

Mind you, these are the same women who would become

INCENSED if one of you gentlemen let your gaze linger

a moment too long.

Ok lets get down to the bottom this.......I feel fucking disgusted when people give women shit for breast feeding in public I've seen videos of women being victimized because they are using their tits for what they are intended for in public and it hurts lol I felt like crying because society says you shouldn't but its supposed to be perfectly normal.....In advertising we have all sorts of tits thrust into our faces everyday and no one gives a fuck!!! aren't you disgusted with advertising?? its everwhere and its manipulating you and your children in the most coldest soul crushing way.....So when you see a picture of a woman on your facebook breast feeding her baby know that shes doing it as a protest on her own public wall....She may be told off or flagged but at least she wont be humiliated publically in front of strangers......So next time u see a picture of a woman posting stuff like that then get the fuck behind her and support her and break this whole fucking shit thing that girls do which is conform to what men want them to be which is fun bags with fuck holes.......seriously I get so frustrated with people getting fired up over the wrong things...

I really need to get down to the bottom of this....

WHY?!? Why is it SUUUCH a big issue to see a woman breast feeding her baby?.....I seriously need to know this, I was brought up in a nudist household, I still see my parents naked so its normal for me to see a tit, dick, ass I know people are brought up in conservative households....is that it?? you're conservative?

She's doing it to bring social awareness about the stigma of breastfeeding + shock factor + to bring attention to the issue.

I don't see why breastfeeding in public is a big deal. The baby is hungry, he/she needs to eat. Breastfeeding shouldn't be considered obscene.

Why is it ok to see topless women on the beach & no one gets offended by that & yet when a woman breastfeeds, it's appalling? That's fucked up.

Why does it annoy you? I don't see anything wrong with it. Live & let live.

And comparing shitting to breastfeeding is a very poor example.

Thats a good point about advertising. Tits stay in your face 24/7 but that doesnt bother me either.

Why is a womans body seen with such fear and disgust while a mans is not.

I love photos of mothers with their babies. I absolutely LOVE them. I see plenty of bordering-on-pornographic-if-not-downright-pornographic photos of women with low cut tops strategically squishing and angling them at the camera while giving duck face, or people posting pictures of them drinking glasses of another animal's milk. ENOUGH! I'd rather see the happy new mom doing one of the most natural thing in the world. Personally, I would take daily pictures of my growing pregnant belly, pictures of me breast feeding my baby, or my hubby showering my baby, etc, but is keep all of them private (with exception to showing some of them to my immediate family.) I don't like the idea of people looking at my baby, hubby, or happiness. I feel too protective.

Breast feeding in general brings up strange emotions in women. For instance, it could be... the ones that don't like seeing it-- had a hard time breast feeding or have other
issues in general with maternal type of displays. Men feel quite differently.

When we watch an animal suckling away on their mama, it's all so cute --isn't it? It's the essence of life.

There's nothing wrong with breast feeding in public.

Just taking selfies needs to stop already.

It is necessary to feed in public at times, if a baby is hungry, that comes first, anyone that has an issue with it .. tough. I sat in my car once feeding my baby and got a dirty look from a woman, so wound the window down and said to her *what is your problem*? She looked mortified, there is still an element of people that find breast feeding wrong—

Selfies are a curse, there should be a law against
the inane vanity that goes with them..off with their selfie heads 😛

This, of course, is the problem... not

breastfeeding.

LoL at the old lady who couldn't even

stand behind her dirty look.

Something that hasn't to be considered offensive for me to know want to know about it.

People post food pictures on IG all the time. I don't want to know about that stuff. It it gets too much I unfollow them. Even though food is an essential part of life.

Overshare is overshare, it doesn't have to be extreme to want to avoid it.

I love food pics. I wouldn't put that in the same category as essential part of life though, the food pics that grab your eye are artistic and colourful 😄

Ahhh to each their own.

Some of you are freaking retarded. This post is about women posting selfies of them breastfeeding their kids. This is NOT necessary and if anything, it goes against the "cause."

If you gotta do it wherever to feed baby, you gotta do it. No big deal. Let the naysayers bitch and moan. You have a valid reason to feed your kid.

However, you do NOT have a valid reason to post that shit all over social media, trying to garner attention. This is why you see so much backlash toward the nazi breast feeders who have made it some insane cause. Again, some of these women are borderline exhibitionist in regard to the extent that they're taking this breast feeding issue.

Posting pictures of it all over social media works against them and just gives the naysayers more ammo against their cause.

In short, do it when you have to, but stop attention whoring over it you dumb bitches. It's not that hard to grasp here. I mean really, would you be all "HAY FRIEND, COME HERE. LOOOOK. LOOK AT MY BEWB. LOOK AT MY BABY SUCKING ON IT. AREN'T I SO AWESOME?? THIS IS SO AWESOME. LOOK AT MY BEEEWB!!!"

You do NOT see anyone doing that shit in public, so why on earth is posting it on social media, for all to see for NO reason whatsoever, okay in your mind? You bitch and complain when people stare or make you feel uncomfortable, but posting a picture on the internet, for millions to see, is okay?

Someone please explain the logic here.

I'm still convinced that having kids makes some women batshit crazy.

id like to give people the benefit of the doubt and not assume that they conceived a child for the sole purpose of using them as a prop to whore themselves for attention on social media.

That's nice, but I hate to break it to you- some people have kids as if they're accessories, and treat them as such too.

This is so retarded im sorry. Women thinking other women breast feeding or taking pictures of it is attention whoring.

This is honestly some shit I never gave any thought about. And other women having an issue with it is so petty to me.

Pictures of giving birth...okay. That's personal. But breast feeding a child is just that. Feeding the child.

Yes weird isnt it? I have pics of me feeding my baby and although i never shared them, i am delighted to see other womens' pics

Maybe it is either jealousy or some strange sexual repression?

You would think that, with your dysfunctional way of looking at things. We're talking social media. Not having for your own or sharing with friends who are interested/people you trust.

This is on social media, where people add anyone and everyone. In this day and age, people will do anything to get attention via social media, hence the images being for attention whoring purposes. The posts that I've seen of these are from women trying to garner attention, not go "AWW LOOK AT MAH BABY."

People are just tacky fucks anymore, tbh. Nothing is off limits when sharing on the internet anymore. Selfies at grandma's funeral, pics of "baby's first dirty diaper," friend on life support for the world to see, "look at mah bewb" pics of their kid nursing, etc.

If you can't see or understand that the extent in which people share things anymore is a bit overkill, you're likely guilty of the same thing. That was the whole point of this post- people are getting to be a bit too much in what they share. Nobody is anti breastfeeding or sees it as some gross thing- just that sharing it on social media is highly unnecessary. And if you think that posting it isn't a form of attention whoring, please do explain why else people share it on social media?

Starlover,

I breastfed for little over a year. They naturally weened themselves. My daughter was a born vegetarian a took offense to me eating meat; so she weened quicker and wanted soy milk. I could really go on forever about children and motherhood.

Breastfeeding is common and expected in my family. I know that in my mothers time, the 70s, there was very little disdain. But, that was the 70s. She breastfed wherever... to include church. I love how times change and we live in the vacuum of today. Then you got to the

I personally have experienced people trying hard to look. The most shocking was an elderly couple that liked to break their necks. They even came back around for a second look.

I don't and never had a subscription to any of the social sites - Facebook, Twitter, etc. I came close because I wanted to comment on politics but thought my vote, and the voters in my family are enough.

So, I have not been exposed to "over sharing" or "attention whoring." But I declare, breastfeeding is so beautiful... I can't even form a thought against it in anyway.

Venus, we are so lucky to have been able to do this for our kids...i fed my son for a year too and felt it made him very strong.

Aaaaahh the people who look, i had that too.....once a woman was staring at me and i says to her *do you want a picture* 😛...people can be so odd at times.

Amen to breastfeeding is so beautiful....it sure is, amazing and so natura

I saw an ad on tv of an adorable baby being bathed. I want to post it here for you but felt it may make you feel very broody haha......dare I??

🙂

There is nothing wrong with people sharing pics of breastfeeding...i wonder if the same people who object to it, would do the same for women flaunting breasts in other ways....i somehow doubt it. People....that is what they are for.....feeding our babies!!!

K

I think I know what commercial you're talking about. It kills me softly. Go ahead...post.
There are so many benefits to breastfeeding... The one benefit that made my husband so supportive is the fact that their poop didn't stink. He smelt the atrocity the one time he gave him a formula bottle and never did I it again. He was a proud father of a breastfed baby. No ear infections, colds, better development and cognitive skills, etc. and I'm talking about 100% breast milk.

Baby Fever is a real thing, right? Because I have the strong urge to hold one right now. I am very sensitive about touching other people's babies and often refrain and just admire from afar. A couple of months ago, my co-worker let me hold her baby, and I just stood there cradling her in my arms and staring into her eyes. It's like the entire world stopped, and she wasn't even mine. I believe babies can see through people's souls.

I believe so too Lilly. My daughter is a Pisces. When she was a baby their were persons who she would not let hold her... and,, I mean as an infant. There is one family of whom she would cry insessantly if she crossed their doorsil. My sister and I noticed, the family member was ashamed. They have a well known past. She would immediately stop crying when taken outside. My sister really needed the revelation my daughter provided.

My daughter's birthday is "The Day of Fateful Prediction."

I had a manager that got on my nerves when I was pregnant. When I brought her to work to show everyone, I met him on the way up. He looked into her carriage and she cut her eye at him. She did the ultimate cut eye to include moving her head from left to right while closing her eyes. The security guard standing near by saw it too and said, "Dave, what did you do to (Venus)? Her baby just cut her eyes at you!"

My son, a Taurus, loved everybody... an extremely agreeable baby.

This is definitely one of those topics where people have tunnel vision. Literally cannot see any other perspective.

Either you also think that posting your nipple online is weird and no matter how someone explains it you're going to still think it's u necessary ...or you think it's totally fine and whoever doesn't is "hating on women" or is anti breast feeding or some other emotional garbage
