I’ve mentioned earlier that I do like learning and cooking at my own accord once in a while but I have a super unique and weird issue… my mother-in-law gets really jealous when I’m able to cook things really well at the first try so she took over cooking things for us and I don’t mind at all. She’s a very controlling and easily jealous Scorpio.

But it works out for me because I would rather do so many other things than cook 24/7 like her xD She’s weird and also likes to cook for her sister’s, brother’s and daughter’s families… as long as it keeps her super busy and out of my marriage in other areas all is well!

I understand what he's going through. I'm not one of the ones that was attacking him. I actually did said do what's right for you. When you get to be my age all you really have is booze and some friends to join you in on it. Problem is with me i keep all my personal problems im going through in my everyday life away from this site. I dont want anybody feeling sorry for me and believe me im going through some rough and tough times. I go through personal demons too as well as he is with the smoking and shit. If you want people to have nuclear families, encourage higher wages, make it easier to find affordable housing, lower stress by giving people time off enough to rest and have hobbies, improve the school systems, focus on climate change so we don’t have to worry about our kids future, improve maternal health care, give new families time off, make adoption easier for all kinds of families, improve health care overall, teach everyone financial responsibility, home economics, teach men how to respect women, etc.

A lot of women I know don’t want kids for these reasons. They may have wanted them at some point but these don’t make it seem worth it anymore to them.

Plus so many kids these days are extremely worried about the future of the world and no one cares about solving their fears.

I agree to a point. But then how do you explain places like Scandinavia where they have all the social security privileges and 0-1 children? Same goes for all Western Europe.

What defeat means here depends on your context and the overall framework you use.

As I said, within your framework where you have to be top 5% to even have a chance at dating simply isn't worth it by the most basic cost-benefit analysis. The cut in lifetime due to all the self-inflicted stress alone makes it uneconomical. One could now argue that calling men who refuse to play by those rules weak, or defeatist, is the prime way soceity and women manage to get most men who would be at risk of leaving back into the game.

Within my framework the thing is fairly simple as well. I think the virtue of my character is already worth more than the average woman. Not becauseit is an objective standard but because I value myself enough.

How well that translates into reality and the prospects of getting such a woman is a completly different question and I am the first one to admit that I wouldn't get one. I'm just okay with this reality.

I don't think things were that much better back then. I remember reading the same articles about women not finding suitable mates and being sad, lonely, childess etc. in their thirties that still make the rounds. Same for men who go to massages because it is the only option for them to feel the touch of another human being. That was at the beginning of the 2010s. What we are seeing isn't new. It is a trend that has been in the makings for decades.

If you try to find a partner via apps and social media as a man you are setting yourself up for failure. If you want avoid all the things you criticize you have to switch to offline dating and increase your overall chances of simply having random interactions with women. Go to a cooking course. Dance course. Hiking club. Whatever. There both sides will have the time to slowly feel each other out before taking things anywhere, which reduces a lot of the stress factors of modern dating.

If you don't like offline you can still do online, buit you have to do it on a smaller scale like niche interests and groups. There is it much easier to gain status and being seen as attractive. Depening on the enviorment it can also have some of the stress reducing effects of offline dating.

I think guys always have options. It’s just that most people end up with those of similar looks/socio-economic background as themselves. However, today people want those way out of their league. There is only 10% truly beautiful people on the planet and those who have it all. Okay, maybe 25% . Rest has to settle and come to terms they will attract those similar to themselves. First step is to take a good, hard look in the mirror and your wallet, lol.
