I read somewhere she was pretty hardcore and had an extra-marital affair with Mars (and was caught red handed by her lame husband Vulcan).

Posted by Ram416Hephaestus/Vulcan was described by Homer & Hesiod as having "crooked feet" or being club-footed.
Literally lame or figuratively?

Posted by yupvirgooYes I know. I was asking OP if she meant it literally or figuratively.
@Ram416
He was flung from Mt. Olympus by Hera for being born so ugly.
That's how he became lame.

Posted by yupvirgooAh, is that so? I thought he was thought to be lame because he mistreated her?

I identify closely with Vulcan/Hephaestus so I know the story behind his disability.click to expand

Posted by RemixGeneralFishyAres was Greek mythology.
Nah, that was just a blatant rip-off from the Olympians.
APHRODITE did indeed have an affair with ARES while she was supposed to be HEPHAESTUS's partner - which is rather strange when you think about it considering they were all the kids of Zeus & Hera.![]()

But then again Aphro was indeed the Goddess of Love, so "luv" and "love" were the same thing to her. She was beyond all that I suppose. And Hera did boot Hephaestus off Olympus because she thought he was too ugly, so there was no bonding period between little Aphro and Hephi.

Yes he was disfigured and disabled at birth.

Posted by BloopIf I recall correctly, he was indeed quite controlling over her. But Venus being Venus, she didn't care much about what he thought or said, and she continued staying with him (regardless of her multiple affairs).Posted by yupvirgooAh, is that so? Posted by BloopThe Romans stole pretty much everything from the Olympians. The Olympians are the original, the Roman "pantheon" is a direct copy/paste.Posted by RemixGeneralFishyAres was Greek mythology.

Posted by yupvirgooPosted by Infinite8you would know 😉Posted by yupvirgooWhat is the purpose of flirting with mortals when you can easily own them? Mortals will fear you too much to flirt.
You know, if I was immortal I'd probably be an azzhoe what with the aeons and aeons of living, no risks to my body, no complications to my health, no rent. I only have the pseudo-job of being a patron of beauty or trees or bears or whatever.
I'd be living like Zeus too, except my wife Hera is already a goddess so I'd probably just be messing around flirting with all the female mortals.
*chuckles
Only your equal can give you a proper dose of flirtation that will satisfy.
anyway....
coz too much drama to flirt with goddesses (they're sisters and would probably talk about me when they're together coz women do that in their circles) plus they're probably related to me or like my distant cousin or something
*chuckles
although... it would be fun to think of ways to flirt with Hera even tho we've been married for endless aeonsclick to expand

Posted by NevermoreNever thought I'd see Venus in that light 😄
I remember that Venus did not liked Psyche at all to be with Cupid (Her son).
Except that Psyche beat everything and became a goddess for Cupid.
