Am I dumb?

I often do good in class... like I am a cum laude in college. Number 7 in the entrance exams. Passed all top 4 universities. Passed UP College of Law's entrance exams. I would get the highest scores in class. I would perfect a quiz even without studying or listening to the professor. I would be able to answer the professor's question even if I'm asleep most of the time IN CLASS...

But my mum says I'm dumb. I don't know how to handle real life situations. I don't have common sense.

What should I do?

Everyone has strengths and weaknesses. You sound very intelligent but there will be things that you are just not good at. It doesn't make you dumb, it makes you human.

People can be book smart but clueless about common sense. Doesn't mean you're full goob but maybe you should start working on your wisdom or street smarts.

Tests/quizzes are not the real world though.

It sounds more to me like you're highly gifted in intelligence, but sheltered and unequipped for life. You're going to need to work on common sense/life skills to be a lawyer. Go spend some time out in the real world, do something to establish your independence from your mother, and be self reliant 🙂

She's hit the nail on the head.

Once you no longer live under your parents roof you'll experience tremendous personal growth and through your new found independence you'll start to develop those street smarts.

If you're asking the question, then you're not completely dumb.

Based on your recent threads you seem to be growing up a bit, but you're still a bit immature.

You need to become more level-headed, especially if you want to be a lawyer.

Get into relationships and try to look more tough.
