In all seriousness I would like to learn more about the culture.

i am being serious. look up “han”, it’s literally ancestral hatred passed down from generation to generation.



why do u think koreans are so good are vengeance movies?

Asians are racist towards black people in particular Chinese, Koreans, and Japenese people

this is well known and observed on a constant basis

are you korean american or korean? being born and living in korea is different than being born and raised in america in a korean household although you grow up with the culture of your people you do not grow up with their mind-sight and this is not even only korean based anyone from their homeland who lives mostly among their demographic are apt to feel biased towards their own and practice traditions second generations may not

I understand how you feel about the ignorant comments in this thread but those in the minority always experience these encounters to be stereotype and ridicule for their culture to victimize your own self acting as if you're the only race being treated is such is also narrow minded

for example:

you saying entire is to semi-agree that koreans do have a tendency to be racist because guess what, it's true you may not be but some koreans may in fact be as well as some koreans may eat dog broth soup known as bosingtang

you implying that only japan steals american culture to defend korea isn't a good argument either why? because most cultures outside the USA do and USA also steals from other cultures

korea is also big on western features which is why cosmetic surgery is common

you have to separate yourself from becoming defensive over things that are based on fact because at times stereotypes hold partial truth and people will say what they want to say doesn't mean you have to feel a stereotype holds true to you if you know you're not those things

the japanese appropriation of western culture comment was a kinda inside joke to myself. im aware of the hypocrisy of it w/ the earlier mention in my comment about black community. but as we know, the japanese are FAR more interested integrating into the western workd bc of capital & economics.

while i am korean american - i am first gen & have been to korea several times & was raised by 3 korean women who did not speak english / nor let me have white american friends. english was not my first language & my first schooling experience was in an all korean schooling system in koreatown, los angeles.



i also, nowhere in this thread said that koreans were the only ones treated this way... wonder what in my responses triggered you into half assedly defending koreans in a backhanded way.

I wasn't defending koreans in a back-handed way, I was defending minorities and stereotypes they deal with as to not make you feel attacked and alone I am not korean I am hispanic and knowledgeable of my culture and the history of others because I too would get defensive of the stereotypes people would spread of my parents origin which lead me to research where stereotypes stem from

instead of becoming defensive just avoid ignorant people and assure yourself that you have more knowledge of your culture than they do, only the people worth bothering to learn and see past the stereotypes are worth entertaining

what triggered me to reply to you was the japan joke because the korea/japan feud is real and to me it seem hypocritical of you trying to call the thread ignorant yet you too were being it

in short: expand your mind and see past ignorance
