I’m from Australia and currently there is talk in the works of accepting white South African farmers to immigrate to Australia.

So the situation is that white South Africans own 75% of the land despite making up 8% of the population, a lot of black people are reclaiming the land from white people and as a result a lot of white folk are scared for their lives because there have been murders.

So I would like to see what you views on the this issue is...

just based on what and how you made that statement it sounds like land was claimed quite some time ago from a culture that perhaps wasn't so organized - sounds like the European invasion on what is now America and how the Indians were slaughtered and the white people just took what they wanted, everything - because it wasn't really owned in the first place - how can anyone own land or sell land that isn't there's to begin with - it was unclaimed is what it was and someone claimed it and now there is a problem - this earth is here for us all to enjoy but someone has to claim it and make a profit off it - just barf - baffles me - the thing I do not like is the bloodshed over these things ...

I just looked up Apartheid and what I found doesn’t make me feel sorry for these people.

I’m a big believer in sleeping in your bed after you make it...

They have a lot of making to do....

Did they think they could thrive off stolen land surrounded and outnumbered by a staggering population of oppressed Africans? They have had years and years of reaping the benefits of that land and using black Africans for cheap labour and never did they think to ever give back to them or the land.

They have created a situation for themselves, if they don’t like it then move out?

False.

The land reform intitive gives power to the government to buy back at market value from white owners and redistribute to black owners.

Don’t forget that since 1913 blacks right to land ownership has been taken away. Now obviously the parties involved in creating the racist system of government and profiting off of it have now died. Their offspring shouldn’t be punished. But also the 10% owning 95% needs to change. I think this is an effective and fair solution to all involved.

The fear isn’t coming from loss of land. The fear is coming from the last 100 years of living in a racially segregated society. White people are scared cause for the first time they don’t have the power of the corrupt system to keep them at the top of the pyramid. Welcome to reality.

the only people I see being triggered about this are not even south african but white people from outside south africa who are offended that some white people might become victimized.

I think this law will only concern big land owners, most white people in SA won't be concerned because they don't own huge farms the size of belgium.

It also worries me that some young people of today don't even know about apartheid

Allot of them moved to NZ when apartheid ended. Which doesn't make sense at first glance because in our country our indigenous peoples have allot of power and respect now days. Really when you get to know them and look into their motives they just moved here to get away from the entire system/drama and start a new life with a new outlook and leave the racist shit behind. It wasn't about running away because black people were going to be integrated, It was about running away because the conflicts caused by integration is just not a healthy place to raise a family. So they came to NZ and left all of that shit behind, accept they kept that hideous accent.
Yeah, a lot moved to NZ, Australia and Holland. Unfortunately most of the ones I've met didn't really leave behind the racism.

Hahaha I thought the same thing about them moving here because Koori folk have just as much rights, also I can’t stand their accents.

I’ve been watching lots of YouTube videos about the situation and it’s sad that a lot of the white folk have distanced themselves from the shit that they inflicted on the people saying that it happened ages ago but still find it suitable to reap the rewards of the misfortune.

To me this is the equivelaint of the French storming Marie Antoinette after she told them to eat cake.....this is an uprising from oppression and It makes me glad to see that they are taking back the land.

I’m not happy about killing and violence but from what I’ve seen SA is a very violent place.
