Losing a pet... (Page 2)

I watched my loyal 12yo companion die unnecessarily last month. By the hand of another. To see his last movement was so brutal.

All i got out of him was 'not my fault'.

My pain is raw. The support and discussion of it from anyone has been non existent.

He was a sheep dog. My very own. No more..

Our family cat was put to sleep last week. She was 15 and the vet thought she’d suffered a heart attack. She was finding it hard to walk. I wrapped her in a blanket and held her and told her how much i love her. She started to purr even though she was fading ♥️😔

Virgo took her to the vet and i said goodbye to her. He brought her home so we could lay her to rest in the garden. I saw her before we buried her and she looked so peaceful...

I am absolutely gutted and feel broken💔. She was such a huge part of our family. Our lovely little darling. I can’t stop crying. I know we did the right thing, we could see she was struggling but evenso it’s so tough to let go.

Today i laid some lillies on her resting place and in the Spring i will plant a rose bush.

If anyone else wants to share their pet loss stories and if it helps to talk about it, please post in this thread ... hopefully it will help with the grieving process.

I feel your pain and I am so sorry for your loss.

My 18 year old cat passed away last year. The pain of losing her was unbearable but time heals. I miss her everyday though.

Its hard. 😢

But time heals and you will remember the happy moments you spent with your pet. 🙂
