There are some people here that live in Austrailia,

and @Arielle83 says that it's a highly chauvinistic /patriarchal country

what is the living conditions there for a single woman and some married women too

that they dislike the way the country's views of feminism.

is it the way the men there treat women like shit?

is that true?

what's going on there that women think men are a bunch of pigs?

ok i found stuff on the internet

http://www.theaustralian.com.au/life/feminism-under-attack-as-women-defend-mens-rights/news-story/85689a2a6b7a29b290113dda8f06debb

As a fresh-faced 18-year-old Daisy Cousens left school firmly on board the feminism bandwagon. Like many millennial women she’d been seduced by what she now sees as an “entrenched victim mentality”, convinced the scales were tipped against her because of her sex. “I assumed I’d have to work twice as hard as men for half the recognition and that violent predators lurk around every street corner,” she says.

It took her years to discover she’d been duped. “I realised the feminist view did not reflect my life experiences. I grew suspicious. I couldn’t believe that somehow in Western society women were paid less than men or had fewer rights than men. And given my experience of men, I refused to believe there was an undercurrent of misogyny among all the wonderful men in my life,” says the 28-year-old, who is part of a growing global band of female activists speaking out about the demonisation of men. Some of the leading lights in this group will hit our shores next month to speak at an international men’s issues conference.

Cousens discovered a thriving online world questioning the feminist narrative and revealing the silencing of critical issues affecting men and boys. She’s now writing — mainly in The Spectator Australia and Quadrant — about what she sees as a “silent war on men”.

However, I think you are a red piller, anyways.
i didnt know what that means...but

'Red pill' has become a popular phrase among cyberculture and signifies a free-thinking attitude, and a waking up from a "normal" life of sloth and ignorance. Red pills prefer the truth, no matter how gritty and painful it may be.

"This is your last chance. After this there is no turning back. You take the blue pill: the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill: you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes." - Morpheus, The Matrix

It's just men still make banter to belittle women. The older generations are homophobic and racist.

yeah...there is only so much that men can do to make fun, i still like eddie murphy's old jokes.

i dont think he is against women at all just stating truth in a mockery way.

just like he jokes about men going to africa wanting a woman there because the modern day women are hard to marry. i like that kind of truth.

He isn't a thing anymore but still 😄

his wife i read likes to discuss views that her husband doesn't want to. lol.

but he doesn't go against her, it seems that he likes her independent mind.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Margie_Abbott

In September 2013, Abbott said that, unlike her husband, she was open to discussion about gay marriage. She told the media "I suppose at the end of the day I think that love, commitment, are things that should be recognised and I think it's a conversation that Australia needs to have".[14] Margie Abbott was a member of the New Zealand Labour party before meeting Tony Abbott, as were her parents and extended family with exception of her young nephew, Simon Aitken, who is a National supporter.[15]

You're for the men's right movement.

I'm not against it, but a lot of women for it belittle women like how the femi nazis belittle men.

It's out of balance.

It was so hard to get marriage equality or stop racism or domestic violence.

The country is trying to be progressive, but there are mentalities holding it back.

If you're a right wing conservative you probably are fine with the xenophobic attitudes

naw i'm not right wing at all. i was never for xenophobic attitudes.

i was always for gay marriage.

You realize he makes his money doing that?

To work with men day in and out, putting you down or calling you slurs while you're making a living.

Being called half cast because they can't figure out your race.

Being told women are only good for 3 things.

The shit I've heard over the years goes on.

I'm glad I moved to a more progressive town, but you still have to be around certain intolerant mentalities.

i would never live in the bible belt that's all i know. the people there are awesome but that is probably because i only visit.

anyways all this started with me saying if homophobic/racist/sexist Australia could have a female prime minister then anything is possible.

I have no idea why you're calling me out and posting red pill articles.

My post was because America is most likely a bit more progressive than Australia. So yes I think they could have a female president. If they find someone suitable. I don't think it's a gendered thing.
oh wow congratulations .....same sex marriage became legal in december 2017, just last month. lol

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Same-sex_marriage_in_Australia

Same-sex marriage in Australia has been legal since 9 December 2017. The legislation to allow same-sex marriage, the Marriage Amendment (Definition and Religious Freedoms) Act 2017, passed the Australian Parliament on 7 December 2017 and received royal assent from the Governor-General the following day. The law came into effect on 9 December, immediately recognising overseas same-sex marriages. The first weddings under Australian law were held on 16 December 2017.[nb 1] The passage of the law followed a voluntary postal survey of all Australians, in which 61.6% of respondents supported same-sex marriage.

One of my gfs(who is a lesbian) and works on the wharfs which is a male dominated industry is going for unfair dismissal at her job because she was sexually harassed, delt with homophobic slurs on a daily basis. And after filling with hr, they fired her.

So she lost her job after she was harassed. So nice.

I had to go to hr cuz I was sexually harassed at my work and had to deal with homophobic slurs.

It happens.

I think guys are alright here. I think they're generally pretty respectful but that's just my experience. Perhaps the ones on online dating seem like pigs... I haven't spent enough time on those apps to be sure.
I think they tend to be a bit more outdated the further away they live from the cities.

Then they move to the cities and bring with them their outdated ideas.

I had a friend who was assigned a teaching job in a small town a few hours away from Darwin. When she tried to discipline a 5 years old student, the kid threatened to get his dad to rape her. This was in 2005.

Some freaky shit right there.

i remember watching a film about an australian girl taking a job in some far away distant countryside where the older man keeps her in his home to teach his little boy. it was really scary. the whole premise was weird... to be so desperate to take a job there with a creepy old man who was indeed a bad creepy man but the young boy was very cool and cute, you felt sorry him there too. you dont really choose your family that's for sure.

Given the ubiquitous nature of pedophilia

it's better to be highly suspicious of a single man taking photographs of random children than a random woman at a playground

I wish we had adopted more suspicious / skeptical attitudes in the states.

what is the living conditions there for a single woman and some married women too

is that true?

what's going on there that women think men are a bunch of pigs?

Compared to Canada, yes. Very gendered.
I haven't been to Canada or Austrailia. I liked Julia Gollard's speech though.

People tend to think the west's attitude to women is all the same. Its not though there is a lot of cultural nuance.

I used to be a fan of Gillard when she first came in as PM. One year into her term though, I realised she wasn't all she was cracked up to be in the beginning.

She is a prime example that politics is dirty, regardless of gender involved.
