Behave like a wife in the hope of becoming one or...
You know like the book "The Secret" think, act, be what it is you desire in order to attract it...
What is this supposed to mean? You naturally made yourself equipped to be able to make all kinds of gourmet cuisines?
I don't think there is such a thing as "behaving like a wife". All wives behave differently.
Relationships naturally progress over time and end up exactly where they are supposed to. If you two are meant to live happily ever after, you will, regardless of how many dinners you cook or shirts you iron.

Basically, act the same and when you cook, make extra so he can have some.
I hate the word "wifey"...it sounds so childish and not to be taken seriously...like two people are playing house. I usually see it used in relationships that are a train wreck. If you accept that term from a man, he's not taking you seriously.
Is this serious? I could give two fucks about becoming a wife. I'll be exactly who i am no matter what.. And if some dude wants to be a husband then he'll treat me like a queen and maybe i'll marry him.. But i doubt it.
OP, if you want to be a wife...act like one...but for you and not a man. No man gives you that "status." Being a wife is the same as being mature and responsible...you have to be that even before you meet a man. If you haven't learned to love and respect yourself first, it'll be difficult to get married. Good luck

i don't think i ever "behaved" like a wife until i actually became a wife.i had put myself first, until i wanted to put him first. had my own plans, until they became our plans.
my mindset has been for us to always grow together happily, so that's what i strive for. 🙂
This is the kind of response I was looking for. Maybe I should have mentioned single girls who've gotten married should comment lol. Yes so I was previously also more selfish, even in previous relationships. I'm feeling very nurturing with my current and it feels strange for me! I guess i'm growing up, finally...

i don't behave like a wife but i have "wife like" tendencies . I like to cook, take of bath , take care of the men i love .
thats just my personality though and I'm still not wifed up so hopefully that answered your question.

not everyone is Ellen DeGeneres, Sarah silverman, Margaret Cho or Rosanne Barr.
and only certain men like those types. Unless they are lesbian like that of Ellen, there's no chance.

Hmm you're right, some chicks just are naturally funny, and yeah there are a lot of men who don't think chicks can be funny, or who think only men should be funny, and I feel like they are the kinds of guys who think men should get all that kind of attention, sounds like insecurity to me, and sexist. Not someone you want to date anyway.
In the end be yourself, I guess I have always been a bit of a class clown and I am also an ESFP so I am always "performing" and love to make people laugh or brighten their day, it comes natural to me but you are right there are a lot of people who aren't, for whatever reasons.
I guess what you do is just be you, always, be the best version of YOU as much as you can. Because you want to attract someone who likes your qualities, not what you are pretending to be, because once you relax and drop those qualities several months into the relationship they will be like hey, who the hell are you?

What did you do? Did you make any changes in the hopes of changing your status when you were ready to be wifey material or did you have the attitude let him wife me first then i'll change to suit my new status?
