Hmm... I've known privileged women who did this.
One woman in particular was not only bulimic, she was also
obsessive/compulsive about exercise, going well beyond
anything that was normal or healthy.
She had sugar addiction the same way people might have
alcohol and drug addiction (which was also an issue for her).
She struggled, terribly-- but last I spoke with her, she was
doing pretty well.
