Anti-poly and proud
I’m anti pedophilia, anti rape, anti racism, anti violence but compared to all those things, poly doesn’t seem to be problematic at all....consenting adults so what’s the problem? I’m
not into it, but if others are that’s their choice...
My mother only slept with my Dad all her life and as she got older she said she wondered how it would have been
with someone else? Some would think that’s a life half lived?

I don’t care what others are doing too but unfortunately I know too much personal details of many poly relationships to be disturbed by it to create a rant in case anyone was into glorifying it

Can the Muslim custom of having multiple wives be considered as polygamy? I can't say I am against it because who am I to judge, but I do find it tacky.

That is polygamy. An Arab friend of mine told me about how common it is in Yemen culture this day and age to marry off young college aged boys to 4 wives from the start. Some of the wives being minors too as there’s no age restrictions there…

Yup I’m very judgmental on it due to the fact how it’s used to oppress and control women (including minors) in other parts of the world. I just don’t look at the first world countries.

Your title is very general and excludes so many others that practice it in ways that contradict what you described.
Maybe if you just focused on the specific cases you speak of, you would make more sense. But adding a huge population to this narrow idea you expressed just sounds a bit ignorant and fool-hardy.
But, I see what you mean - human corruption is found in all ideologies.

It’s not supposed to be an organized rant. It’s just some random stuff I put together on how I feel with the overall tone of me simply being anti-poly and proud. I’m open to any and all kinds of reactions to it. You’re more than welcome to elaborate on these other practices that contradict to the ones I’ve mentioned.

Screw any people who practices it with the excuse of their “religion”. They’re usually the most controversial anyway. They don’t care about the wives’ consents. They also ironically happen to be some of the ugliest dudes ever. For the nonreligious who partake in this, I applaud you for the immense free time you have to willingly put up with more than 1 person emotionally, mentally and physically. You’re most likely also a masochist. 1 person is handful enough for me. I need the rest of my time preserved for me time (excluding the 10 hours of sleep I need) and other family and friends. Spoiler alert. The grass is never greener on the other side.
