It makes me laugh to see people equating "Long term relationships with no future" with "no marriage". The future of a relationship depends on many things....marriage is just one of them. You probably heard of couple marrying after 10 years together, and then divorcing a few month later.

I actually admire long term relationship without a certificate. It means they still want to be together because they are happy together, and not because they are afraid of the divorce!

While times are changing, women at large still believe the end all be all is marriage, and won't settle for anything less. I know women into their 3rd, 4th, 5th marriages and yet that is still the metric by which they measure success and happiness

Hey, to each their own... career, bank account, children's success, house size, spouse success, wardrobe.

We agree that marriage isn't all that. And, I'm happily married (albeit the 2nd time with the same man).

I just don't care for compromise so I love work where I am the boss. And, I don't care for emotions and my man is dramatic, intense. I told him I'm gonna make a t-shirt with the word DRAMA as illustrious as possible to refect how hot he is... always "on."
