So, as you can see there are a million reasons why someone would be a side chick. You can’t just put it all in one box.

I do think the side piece does have some ethical responsibility in these situations. Karma probably gonna get them too. However, the bigger culprit is most certainly the cheater, and that is where the ire should be directed if/when the cheatee finds out.

All I know is if a person is in a committed relationship they need to respect that because that’s what they decided upon with their partner. The person who is not involved in that relationship has nothing to do with that commitment. She never decided to commit to those people.

If the partner was loyal and respectful, there would never even be a side chick no matter what she tried to do. That’s really the only one and real truth on affairs.

According to some people I know, they like the idea of being able to ‘steal’ someone’s man, because it makes them feel powerful over the wife or... something. I believe I heard one of them say ‘I just wanted to try and steal her man, to see if I was able to’ once. After she got the guy, she was no longer interested in him. It almost seems like it’s more about competing with other women, than it is about the guy.
