I am curious about this question and everyones thoughts.

Would you rather be in a realtionship or single?

And why?

I will go first:

I am not sure about the answer to the first question. I teeter-tot back and forth to wanting to be in relations when I get lonely ....than when I am in a really balanced active place I love my single life. I attribute that to a lot of Sag in my chart. I was once married to a great man who matched me astrologically perfect, but I felt stifled, controlled, could not be myself completely, and trapped. So I sometimes wonder if I am relationship kind of person. Again I have alot of Sag in my chart. I also have a cap venus which does make me want to be in a traditional relationship. So I am pretty conflicted and sucks sometimes. Than there is that Pisces sign who sometimes gets lost in the "idea of love" in reality we know does not look like a Cinderella story.

I always liked being single better.
That way I could do whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted...flirt with everyone, and not worry about hurting anyone's feelings...and of course makeout with random hotties. LOL. J/k...kind of.

But after being in a meaningful relationship...I really can't imagine myself single.
& even when we did break up for brief periods in between...I would only like being single for maybe a few weeks.
But would always end up feeling like something was missing = him. (Cheesy...I know.) *gag*
I guess once you're in/have been in love your attitude changes.

i much prefer to be attached than not. that does NOT mean i have to be in order to be happy. i just notice that i shine brighter when in the grips of love. i perform better than usual. i am also a very warm, loving, and affectionate individual. when i am unable to truly shower someone with it, it becomes pent up and my energies become scattered. i try to focus it into my creative pursuits but it doesn't always work. i am at my best when in love and with that love. i did take a leave of absence to join singlehood for a while though. i have consistently been in relationships since i was 16 (i'm almost 27 now but only had 2 partners!). they both ended up being long-termers. when i broke it off with the last one i knew i needed time to be single and alone for a while. i enjoyed every moment of it! now, after almost 2 years of being single, i'm ready to get back into companionship mode. so i like both life style s for different reasons but being in a relationship tips the scale more for me.

I am the kind of person that is very comfortable when i'm single, but I also really enjoy being in a relationship. When in a relationship though, despite that i'm very affectionate - I do need my space and "me" time. I think that's healthy 🙂

this is a very good question, p_d. one of the things i hate most is feeling tied down - to anything or anyone. i need to be free to make my own choices and live my life the way i see fit. being in a relationship is restrictive in that sense, because you have to consider your partner's feelings and wishes as well as your own. i have commitment issues and i HATE HATE HATE completely opening myself up to someone and allowing myself to be vulnerable. i'll admit it.

so you'd think i prefer to be single. in a lot of ways, i do. but i still really thirst for the person who will blow me away. someone who i'd be willing to sacrifice some of my deeply cherished freedom and independence for, to build a life together.

basically, i'd much rather be single than be in a stifling relationship any day. i need a certain kind of partner to be happy, and so far they've all gotten away from me. but i would rather be in the right kind of relationship than be single.

Just like you...and now much more comfortable with being single and carefree...of course there are some lonely times that you want the closeness...but it always comes back to "is it worth" it because how long before the honeymoon period ends and leaves you back at one...

I dunno I usually jump back and forth when it comes to this but with the current trend all signs point to the single life. I love it ... For the time being.

A relationship for sure. Some times I wonder if the grass isn't always greener on the other side but when I'm single I'm always hunting for that certain someone. When it doens't happen right away I can self destruct.
When I'm single it seems I'm always looking for my other half or I don't feel whole.
I couldn't live without my Aries guy (well I could but it'd be hard).

I prefer being in a relationship. Life is crazy and being a pisces can be really hard. It's nice to know that someone's got your back and is there for you. It's nice to have someone to come to and cuddle with you've had a rough day and it's nice to have someone to share life's pleasantries with as well. I have many friends and loving family but romantic love cannot be replaced. I tend to go through severe dry spells between relationships where I can't find anyone I'm interested in and I don't like casual or random hook ups, thus another few reasons why I don't like being single.

I've always preferred to be in a relationship...have hardly been single since I was 15! Except for those lovely 3 months...aw....
Not really sure why. Maybe the comfort factor. It can be a very nice feeling, but it would be interesting and exciting to be single. I can't imagine not coming home to someone though.

OY, what Wheelhomies said, I have HUGE commitment issues; I am good in a relationship, but much better when I am free to be me. It's odd, because I am a Taurus through and through and we are very earthy, blah, blah, blah...but, I love to be by myself.

I would rather be single than with the wrong person for the wrong reasons. Being lonely can be tricky to make us think we need to be in a relationship and often causing us to thirst for what we think we need. It is interesting .....when I am not thirsting ....they attach like bees to honey. *Smiles* I have not been in a LT relationship since 2005 and the moment I think I want one .....I am reminded of how much I enjoy my freedom. Than I miss having that connection. It is such a double edged sword. The pains and joy of relations. 🙂

Thanks everyone for posting. I found everyone's post very interesting. In conclusion ...I found this really is not an astrological thing ....but more of a personal ......and life experiences that shapes our hearts.

I really can't see myself in a relationship, ever! First off, i don't like how most females act in relationships, all stupid and shit. Not that i think that i would act this way, but i really just don't know, i'm very obsessive by nature, so maybe i might. Secondly, i'm VERY controlling, and posessive. I could totally see myself being abusive, and i'm NOT being funny. I need to be in control, and i need to be the boss. So if i feel like my authority is being challenged in any way, especially by a man, i could see myself just knocking the shit out of him, especially if he got mouthy with me. So if i was shitfaced, and he questioned my authority, he probably would be leaving our house in a stretcher, and i would be leaving in handcuffs. Thirdly, if he EVER cheated on me, and i caught him, god, i would just kill him... and i mean it! Okay, maybe i would just slice his dick off, and then leave him, but still, i really don't need to be put in that position, ya know? In a relationship, i could just see myself being this crazy bitch that ties up her boyfriend, and changes the lock so he can't get out. All in the name of control. Crazy much? I know. Yeah, so i'm gonna have to say, SINGLE!

I love being single because that gives me the options to date around and not to be to readily available to someone that im not into and i enjoy my space and alone time...its very, very important to me. So i prefer to keep my options open when i can...and sit back and see what my angels will bring forth to me. When i do consider myself to be exclusive with someone..i still start to ponder on is the right guy for me, what else is out there? I like to be independent emotionally and financially, it's definitely my true Taurus nature calling and that Aries edge. It makes me feel secure that I don't have to rely on ANYONE. I've been let down, hurt and betrayed by those closest to me too many times to seek true comfort from anyone anymore. I've always felt that giving the people I care about affection makes me happier than being on the receiving end, so that may play a part as well. Also I have a tendency to be a bit domineering and more of "The Man" in a relationship. I like to take care of my guy in the emotional sense.. and if I ever got married, financially as well. It's how I would express how much I care for them. I could see myself being the one out working my ass off while my guy is taking care of the house or whatever. As much as I may love someone though I'll always need a tiny wedge of independence, it's just who I am and I NEED that security. Once I'm into someone I stay into them until they basically disown me or cheat.. I give 110% and I expect the same back!

All in all, it's a Win/Win situation with me. If I'm not truly into someone I won't waste my time or theirs, and if I am into someone I give my all, which makes them happy and seeing them happy, makes me happy. Like I said, Win/Win 😉

I love sex and physical affection far too much to be single... and I can't do sex and physical affection casually so I have to be in a relationship rather than just messing around with someone. I also like the consistency and comfort of there always being someone there... Someone to fall asleep with every night, wake up with every morning, share life's ups and downs with, chase dreams with, go for long walks and picnics with, be affectionate with, etc. I've never much enjoyed being single. I cope okay with it - I fill my life with other things and generally remain happy and occupied, but I'm always a little lonely when I don't have an "other half".

And hmm... that's a hard question.... It always depends on who you get to be with if you choose to rather be in a relationship.
I like someone right now, but we're keeping it slow. I still can't say I'd choose to be with him over being single (because god knows what happen last time I jumped into a relationship!) but only time will tell on that. I personally think everyone would choose to be in a relationship if it was with a good person and all the good stuff came with it.
