Thought we'd do a topic where we can discuss a country to exhaustion between the people who live in it, those that travelled there, maybe ask questions, get into the culture of it. And then we can move to another and hopefully it would be interactive enough.

Having said that...if the two fishes could move here, just so we know their posts never get deleted.

Let's talk Italy .

@Nemilicious
@Palerio

.... @capricornmoon , this is your chance to learn the difference between Rome and Florence.

I really want to contribute, but Italy is currently not on my "have been in" country list.

I wi discuss my motherland endlessly if you want, as well as USA and Pacific Canada - mainly Vancouver area (to an extent with the latter). I still vaguely remember Palma fe Mallorca, and just now reserved my September tickets to Belgrade, so that will hopefully be added to my list.

Even better, you can add more to the conversation.

Why did you tag this person? Someone who actually says "why learn about it" ......shallow, narrow and blunt minded. No finesse. I can hardly imagine someone like this discovering the little tea room by the spanish steps where lord byron used to .....just forget it.

Just avoid London altogether.

Well, sorry, it depends what you're in to I guess. Personally, it's not my thing. I like to smile at strangers and have conversations, in London they seem to just ignore you, even when you ask them a question directly.... infact, especially when you ask them a question directly.

Oh really? But they can cook.... so we can make exceptions. They also do that thing with their hands when they ask a question... that's pretty cool, adds emphasis.

Well put it like this, now I know why Italians are stereotyped as gangstas, yes other than the fact they have history dating back since the 30/40s with mafias, they are gritty, no nonsense, straight shooters, IDGAF attitude is written all over their face, what you see is what you get type of deal. No such thing as customer service with the political correctness of it all. Europe, Africa, Asian countries while fun and beautiful in geography are mature minded. Carribean islands, U.S, are more carefree, childish, playful, in terms of energy and spirit. I love traveling.

Either way, she'll get bored with the non existant drama and go back to her "controversial" topics. But I won't restrict anyone from posting anything about their trips.

Or maybe I'm projecting lol.
