He asked me to hang out Saturday then when I told him to catch an uber instead of me picking him up suddenly he was "with his fam". I wouldn't have minded him being with his family had he not previous made plans with me.

This is not true. If you're a Gemini, you like honest communication. A Scorpio isn't capable of giving you that. Just don't see yourself through the eyes of someone who doesn't value you. You should know your worth, even when others don't.

If he wanted to be around, he would have been and if he really valued you, he wouldn't have put himself in a position where it's likely to lose you. You're not incapable of empathy or being expressive, just because you want to be treated well. If anything, he's incapable of it. Walking away from an unhealthy situation is freeing, just don't jump from one unhealthy relationship to the other. And don't slip when he comes back to test your boundaries.

How long was the time gap between his msg of asking to hang out and your reply?
I know that you have let him go but I'm just curious as to why you got so pissed off over it and he just suddenly "seemingly changed his mind".
Maybe he did had to have some family gathering or sumthin, maybe he eventually got forced into coming to the fam gathering... Idk.
Maybe he suddenly lost the "mood" and lied simply coz he can't explain his moodiness to you
And maybe, just maybe, he was annoyed with you from other previous events, or something occured previously before the day that pissed him off.
