People can be stupid at times.....I've been to plenty of death metal gigs...not for the feint hearted and definitely not for babies

Haha that’s what we did with my son! But no headphones just on the stereo. He’s now 23.. mostly was calming, slowing him down when he was a toddler. He was super hyperactive & is ADHD.

Actually the opposite is true. If you are boiling inside it can feel like a relief to listen to the music because its
like you talked about your emotion, its tangible and not inside yourself anymore.

Distraction and lack of motivation a big problem, but impulsiveness & hyperactivity are under control. He’s refused to take meds since he was 15. I don’t blame him but the distraction is a big issue.click to expand

I don't think it is bad at all for some children at reasonable levels for their ears. I knew a baby who had special needs and the only music that really made him happy was metal.
