We all like to take a piss at pumpkin spice latte being a basic white girl personality trait and it’s very true, it’s so basic and it’s so comforting too tho.
So my question is: why is everting I like and love considered basic? Why do the things I like and love also happen to be what other women like and love (not all women) and why do these women who typically like these things happen to be Mayflower pilgrim looking women like me? Why?!
Science ? Genetics ? Same generation?
We can’t all be the same but since tiktok, we kind of are and examples are as follows:
1-Pumpkin spice latte season
2- It’s fall ya’ll
3- Hobby Lobby and TJ Max and Target and HomeSense are quite literally all the best places to go with your Starbucks and just wonder around and buy things you don’t need and just unwind.
4- Leggings and Chelsea boots
5- Fall coats and knit sweaters
6- Seasonal throw pillows and sofa blankets
7- Seasonal mugs
8- Leaves 🍁
9- Fireplaces and bonfires
10- Baking
If reading that list made you run to your Pinterest board to get a dopamine hit, then you might be my people.
With number 3 you're speaking directly to my mother. TJ MAXX, where you can wander around in a small square for a few hoursclick to expand

Being a white woman is so hard in 2023. If only you weren't stereotyped so much. Like, how rude for other people to judge you. All you want is to live a life surrounded by the things that give you that warm fuzzy feeling, yet other people that happen to exist for no reason want to bring you down. Make you the punchline to their joke. Make you feel stereotyped for being strange when viewed by others. How unfortunate.

My mom loves ANYONE she can walk around with and talk at/to and buy stuff for. It's a problem. I suppose that's a possibility. The primal instincts.
But honestly who doesn't love comfy things? Like blankets and clothes, warm food/drink, leaves (didn't we all play in leaf piles as a child?), fire is warmth, baking hit or miss
hopefully this doesn't doublepost

I hope you aren't actually taking the jokes seriously. At least my way. I don't give a fuck about what you enjoy (in a positive sense).
To the other post, I tried posting and it stuttered again..
>>Yeah, for sure natural. She just can be kinda aggressive about it. Lol. IDK how to describe it other than "you're coming with me" but not said that wayclick to expand

Another basic white girl trend: athletic wear to run errands, drop kids off at school, and get Starbucks

Spring is here, are you mourning fall?
GET OVER IT! Put those puffy jackets and boots away, basic Becky!
Go make a flower headband, grab your dragon fruit refresher, and put on your summer boho maxi and turn into Spring Sarah!!

Since the pandemic I feel less inclined to want to dress up tbh. I had to go out and buy an entire leisure wardrobe because I realized I didn’t put much effort into that area before the pandemic. So since then I’ve kept it casual unless I need to dress up for work meetings, events and like nice things like brunch.

Imma let you finish but…
The Starbucks PSL is gewd, but have you tried a white chocolate-lavender cold brew from Dutch Bros OR a matcha latte from an overpriced coffee bar?

I’m gonna take your advice but Im gonna throw you one down, try a dirty chai latte (extra dirty) and then come back. Not from Starbucks btw.click to expand
