Ironically humans are instinctually closest to wolves in terms of mating and truthfully...it is the females that make all of the important decisions like where the pack will move because of her need to make sure the cubs survive. The makes are actually more beta. While they can hunt and protect, they are also very nurturing to their young. Go figure
An alpha is a parent in wolf terms. It's simply the breeding pair, usually the oldest in the pack.
It's not necessarily the strongest or biggest male, it's just naturally respected because it produces offspring.

A male lion is lazy, sleeps, eats first, has sex with multiple female lions and he has all the female lions do all the work and hunting. You may be asking yourself, why is that? Why is the female lion ok with him not doing the dishes, not spending time with his offspring, not listenting when she roars about her day and whe is not even getting any food at all? Well, the answer is simple: All he does is kicking another lion's ass, if challenged to a fight.

Man A, has everything you can dream of: alpha male, dominant, money, success, is tall, good looking, a business owner, CPA lawyer, respected, married and most likely a dxp member
Man B: unemployed, ugly, virgin, fat, bald and short.
Now imagine B walks up to A and kicks his ass, just like that infront of A's wife. B might become more attractive to all the women that wittnessed his asskicking, even to A's wife. I’d definitely say Cancer-Capricorn... those are like two cardinal signs that if you don’t follow or agree with there will be a reckoning lol!
