i would not know where to start. many books ignite and inspire and push you to venture out into new topics and subjects and lead you to make new disoveries ...some resonate more, some less. some books i have owned for years are not meant for reading yet ....
Hi Nem what is the best book to read for a beginner reader like me so I can enjoy reading books?

this is so vague ....help me out lol.

mystery/crime ...i would recommend agatha christie ....maybe murder on the nile or orient express.

as for fantasy it is - after sci-fi - my least read genre; but here i would recommend you to start with neil gaiman; he just has a new book out norse mythology ....

Sue Townsend.."Adrian Mole, The Cappuccino Years" made me laugh my socks off. I love reading comical books. This author came from close to where i was born and raised, so i get her brand of humour totally.

I am now reading "Adrian Mole, the Wilderness Years" ~ just as funny

Elizabeth Berg ..Talk Before Sleep, a story of a woman dying of cancer and how all her female friends rallied around and supported her through the process of dying .. very sad but stayed with me for a long time. I love this author, have read 20 of her books

...loads more...i read like a demon

I remember reading "The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole, Aged 13ยพ" and possible one or two of its sequals when I was that age or younger, but I only vaguely remember what I liked about it. I remember I found them funny and relatable.

That and Frank L. Baum got me through middle school as farxas reading goes.
