Cancers and apologies.

Ive noticed with a lot of Cancers I know, they have a hard time admitting guilt or apologizing. A lot of times it'll be a blanket apology "I did some things wrong." But when you try to actually understand if they genuinely know what they did wrong the convo is done. Ive noticed no difference in male or female. My bestie is amazing and we've only had issues a few times. She would just rather avoid it until it cools down and never mention it.

Me, If I apologize im writing out a DEscriptIVE 2 page long apology about what I did, how I felt, why I did it, and how incredibly sorry I am.

Why is this?

That's just the way it is.. Very rarely does a genuine apology come out of me on its own.. You are right! Cancerians are weird! Maybe we are just afraid of our feelings getting hurt if the next person does not accept our apology? Fear of rejection you may call it. We are very protective of our tender heart 🙂

Okay, so do you know that youre wrong though? Youd think being so sensitive youd want others to have calmness or know you messed up. Not the case though.

Even my daughter when she messes up she'll say a small apology but have this look of complete despair on her face, but a shut down.

So true! And when they're clearly in the wrong, they try to make themselves the victim...so you apologize. I think a super stubborn cancer would flat out end relationship rather than apologize.

I dated a Cap with a Scorp moon. He would apologize all the time. Handwritten apologies. I didnt feel he was that way at all.

When it comes to crocodile tears, tiresome platitudes and theatricality, they're only second to Leos.

So do you guys just say "fuck it, I dont feel bad. Next".... cause if someone did that to you all... youd be in your shells redecorating and whatnot cause you know youre about to be moving in forever.

In my younger days I would have stayed and accepted it. Now, I'm over it quickly! I'm too old to deal with that and I've learned the hard way to value me.

I adore my crab but I have to admit this is his one flaw. He is a perfectionist, therefore hates being wrong. I done his chart and he has Virgo placements.

I learnt very early on that I need to pull him up there and then or give examples of why he is wrong - I never let it fester and I think this works for us. Only then will he apologise but at times he can deflect and give a reason why it is the way it is and why I have misunderstood or that I am wrong. Lol Or if he knows he's wrong he will crack a joke to distract me from my very good argument.

Sheeet no one's perfect, I still got plenty of love for him. This flaw does not distract from all his other positive traits.

Yeah I'm blatantly lying when I say it's his one flaw. I'm a fool in love and he deserves a medal for marrying my flawed arse. I'm a diamond in the rough!!

Don't think this is necessarily a crab thing... Might be a guy thing thou. Men Process stuff differently than us womenfolk. What to us is a big deal sometimes to them is minor thing, so they don't see a need to apologize.

I just noticed I want to write two page essays breaking down my apology like a GD term paper. While cancers seem to let the irritation, upset, anger just slowly evaporate, give a very generic apology and keep it moving.

I'm not mad at it. I think in a long term relationship I would be. The Cancer I dated never really pissed me off prior to the end to need an apology from him.

My besties we've been going so long nothing upsets me with them to cause any serious issues. Just a very keen observation. I think they feel "that mf'r deserved what he got. My apology will be continuing to talk to them after this".... haha do you get what I'm saying?!

I'm a cancer, but I know how to apologize properly and I see my mistake even when it is not said to me. 🙂 Maybe it's not a general cancer trait.. It would depend how the person was brought up or maybe the culture.

I can't stand when a person can't admit they're wrong .. it's so incredibly annoying .. I don't know that many cancers but my ex was a cancer moon, he had a hard time saying he was sorry ..he did apologize but it was rare .. he was insanely sensitive too

Cancer woman here and we probably don't apologize because we don't believe we were wrong. And if we are wrong, we do tend to play the victim. We are so much in our feelings that i believe that you pushed me to that behavior and you just don't understand our point of view

Oh Cancers will apologize, only after they've tried fixing the problem. Some may say sorry quickly just because THEY KNOW they messed up, but usually they'll be more focused on claiming the mess that they made instead of wasting time apologizing. In fact they may apologize by fixing it for you.

Also you can't EXPECT a Cancer to apologize. Cancers are more emotional, it's a sting to them if they know that you know that they messed up and that you think less of them as a result. They can also be stubborn about expectations. If you act nonchalant and are more in the mindset of fixing the issue, they'll apologize a lot faster because you're not focused on the apology. It'll be a short yet heart felt, "Sorry" or "My bad" or "I...messed up."

How they apologize: A Cancer will mess up, know they messed up, then quietly spend hours trying to fix it, possibly fail, try again, get frustrated at themselves and the world, try again. Then show up later with their apology/solution. They mutter something under their breath as they berate themselves for their "stupidity".

How you accept: Smile, laugh it off. Accept their solution/apology. Don't turn it into a huge thing and diffuse it. Let them know everything is cool and thank them.

THEN the Cancer will apologize, a lot actually. They'll offer to fix the problem EVEN more. Don't hold it against them, just say, "Hey no worries, we'll look at it later." They'll appreciate you more for sweeping the issue under the rug. They also won't make the mistake again.

How to make him realize his mistake and apologizing? I upset and text him. You used to be better person. You used to be accountable with what you say and do. Why did you turn to be this kind of person.

And he just READ my text without replying. So what should i do? Will he come back or just i consider it's over with him and it's done?

Any insight would help, thank you ?

I HATE being wrong.....so I make double sure that I'm not. But when I AM wrong or I've done someone wrong I will apologize, usually without them even bringing up the transgression. I'm Cancer sun/moon/rising.
