I have to do some research on testosterone level in men after 55.

What is good to read?

See, his doctor said that him being too sleepy (for a while) has to do with his testosterone. So I finally nagged heck out of him and he went to gym, lost 40lb...went tru stress test. Cardiologist happy as a clam!

Now this physician is talking about adjusting his testosterone level!

What for— He feels fine! Tired? Because he is nuts who can't stop working like a nut!!!

When I've heard that cardiologist said cancer feeds off of testosterone I've panicked and told him not to do anything without consulting with me first!

Now how do I find info when 2 doctors are contradicting each other?

Man-opause. Has his levels dropped? It might be to bring them back to a healthier level. Just like women, men experience a drop in hormone production as they get older.
So far I can tell he is at level where a lots of men would love to be🙂

But test will show. I just don't understand why to fix what's not broken!

And I haven't found yet any info about supplement they prescribe. It always good with bad effects.

His physician cannot force him to agree to any treatment he doesn't feel like he needs. That's your husband right. That said, if tests do show there has been a drop you can try looking into herbal supplements to help rebalance his hormone levels.

It's just annoying that Doctor does his job better than he should have.

See man in best shape of his life!

Get blood test and than go talk about stuff!

He is talking about it for a year!

Maybe he has low sex drive and looking for the problem in each patient...

The doc wants to get paid. He can boost his testosterone's level by laying off beef, bread and unhealthy snacks. He can eat acid heavy fruit and citrus heavy fruit to boost his bcaas which produces arginine which will open up the veins more and allow more oxygen.

Lean meat, alot of nuts and seeds will boost his testosterone along with a moderate twice a week workout. That will boost it alot.

His testosterone would give him more energy but dont let the doc dope him up
I know right?

He can walk 6 miles at 55!

Finally eats right and lost 40lb!

Why is Doctor being an ass?

Last Year he was bad so doc started

Preaching and NOW he is still preaching!

Thanks for food list

Did the doctor explain WHY he wanted to increase your man'a testosterone levels?
He said because it will give him more energy (like he doesn't have enough) and it won't make him sleepy.

I just read about it and it makes no sense!

Follow your gut instincts!

There is no hurry to get these injections! It's not a matter of life or death, so if you have doubts, hold off on them.

This is my recommendation: Make sure he really increases his Vitamin C! Encourage him to take Vitamin C supplements, eat foods with Vitamin C, and even add vitamin C crystals to his favorite beverage (coffee, tea, etc.) Try that for a couple of weeks, and witness the change as he experiences the changes.

Also, both of you watch his diet and see what he is lacking, nutrition wise or what he is having an over abundance. Increase fresh fruits and veggies and smoothies. Also, I am not sure what his activity level is like since he is a workaholic, but go for a brisk walk with him and encourage him to take deep breaths. He may need to make sacrifices at work so he has a chance to actually get some sleep!

If nothing changes after all of that, maybe it would be a good idea for him to get his thyroid checked. Problems with his thyroid could cause weight gain and sluggishness.

Good luck! *hugs*

Remember, a doctor is just a regular person like the rest of us, far from perfection and they don't always have the answers you need. There are countless doctors that tend to do things ass backwards or are looking to make more money, but the ball is in your court. Arm yourself with knowledge and make the best choice you can, whether it a following doctors orders or considering other options.

Best of Luck darlin 🙂

O yea anytime. 6 miles? Damn! And there is a huge misconception about testosterone these days. Sure it drops as we age but not into the doomsday range like they tell you. Im pretty sure the doctor is cut like stalone in Rambo(sarcasm)

Most doctors are know it alls and the ultimate authority on health. I dated one Lol she was the same way so just overlook him

Coffee is good also especially for the brain. Just some tips
