Why is it so hard for a Libra to receive things from others?

I have a Libra coworker who I absolutely adore. She's such as sweetheart but if I or any of her friends try to do something for her or give something to her she always has to pay us back. It's like she doesn't know how accept things without out feeling like she owes us something.

It's their fair is fair mentality. Keeping the generosity balanced. It's just the polite thing to do.

I have a libra friend. The other day she bought me lunch. I tried to desperately paid her back. She became very upset when I insisted. I backed down because I saw myself in her reaction. I knew she gave it freely like I would so I accepted.

Besides, I'll buy her lunch next time. 😉

Aw, makes sense. So if she didn't except something is it because she feels like she could not return the favor?

Probably, either that or she just can't accept the gift (or simply doesn't want it).

I am exactly the same way. I can't even accept gift from people whom I have rights to accept it from. And I am upfront about it! Flowers the most!

Unless I don't care about person - then go ahead! Spend all you want!

People pleasing mentality.

it is what it is - but not all Libras are like that - I know some that are and some that are not

I enjoy giving to people. It is hard to accept things, of course when I do I am overly greatful. It’s kinda hard to think people do nice things without expecting something in return and that makes it hard to accept and enjoy.

It is like an unspoken weight on our shoulders to be honest. We are like fae creatures. I have seen some Libras just be OK with it and take and take and take but most of us will pay people back because we are not sure we can do the same thing for them later although we might want to if we miss a chance we will feel bad because that person did something for us .
