I’m using the food processor my mom has had since I was a baby.

Impressive!

I love older machines, built to last.

Kinda... it takes like 3 times to get it to fit in the groove properly and I have to jam in a butter knife to get it to start the motor. 😂

Er... looks like that $ 500 could be useful 😅

And there I was worried about burning out the motor

$ 500 isn't going to change my life

What a Taurus thing to say.

lol well it isn't - I have more than $ 500 and can buy pretty much what the fuck I want or need so therefore the question is pretty much mute for me lol

now if we're talking 5 million that would change my life but then I'd be dreaming

$ 500 won't change my life. I can go down a list of shit I've bought within the last 6 months that was over $ 500.

Some things listed here by others are way below $ 500.

I can't buy new tires for my cars at $ 500. Mulitply that X's 3 for one car.

Getting 3 of 6 wisdom tooth pulled with elective full anesthesia cost $ 1500 after very good dental insurance. Gotta nother 3 to pull cause dentist disagreed with the oral surgeon that all 6 wisdom teeth need to go.

A tune up on one car is $ 700. I bought to cars in the same year and maintenance is at damned near the same time.

Hubby did a brake job in one car at $ 700 cost whereas the professionals were going to charge $ 1,100.

I could go on....

My daughter's virtual books for one semester costs $ 500.

Why does this topic anger me, LOL.
