Sometimes being a little scared is a good thing. Fear is what tells a person to run when they should run.
No townie should trust a person that wants to secretly go off and have a private conversation. Unless that person knows the townie first.
You know who does have private conversations on tinychat though? Mafia.

Well yeah we're supposed to be suspicious of each other regardless in the beginning...
Do you not at least agree the more people interact the more helpful it'll be to townies to weed out the shady ones? The only people that would disagree with this are the Mafia.

I've seen townies attack one another more then the mafia attack them.
The mafia lay low, play it cool, offer no help of solutions, instigate, and try to send a wave of paranoia every now and then.

This game allows the Mafia to kill one person every night. Unless the doctor and the slut are being heros all the time, what if the Mafia wants to eliminate the helpful townies that are starting to get hot about who the Mafia are? That's why I said it's okay to collaborate in PM as the game progresses - with caution of course. Clearly I have a fear of being chosen to get killed by the Mafia overnight and I know other townies do too. So we might be hesitant to call out certain suspicions publicly but instead try to agree on strong suspects to vote on together in the background so we can devise a plan on not one townie being blamed altogether. I'm just running off on a future tangent. I just have faith I'll figure out my townies! Also if a Mafia disguised themselves as a townie to join us during this private voting process, and later that night one of the members get killed because the disguised townie knew they were a smart townie, the rest of the remaining members would strongly know there's a rat among them.
I might be too detailed and optimistic but I'm really trying to spew out ideas on how to catch the Mafia and will probably die for it. *looks at doc with twinkling eyes*
Just two things I want to add...
1) Please focus on the 16 players in this game. No one on the outside, no one who played the game before. There was never a moment in this game when someone on the outside figured it all out and actually helped either side. Or if they did it, they kept it low key and let the players..play. If you want neutrality, ask me. I won't help you strategize one way or the other though. Other than that, people only carry about washing petty grievances from previous games.
2) If this shit continues, looking at you @GetMisted and any other audience member that isn't playing but is going above and beyond to interfere, I'm just going to pull the topic out. I am really only interested in hosting the game for the players. This was generally understood and respected in previous games, if it's not anymore, that's ok.
@Taureye Feel free to contribute trends or ideas yourself with your own research as a Mafia would only ask for ideas and not contribute themselves... You haven't provided a solid reason to trust you yet...
@xxxaliciaxxx that's for each of us to figure out ourselves from our own judgement.

Not getting too ahead of myself, but I see a strategy that might involve turning the town against me so You get a free kill.
That would kill two birds with one stone. Townies kill me, you kill a random.

Think I am, it's no matter to me. Like I said I've got nothing to lose. All I can do is try to help. Which will start chaos no matter how you look at It.
I'm destine to get voted off by the town, bricks thrown from the sideline by gm, and the mafia out to wack me so make my day.
When I see two people gang up on one townie it's either mafia, or just townie you don't realize are townies.
I've seen both happen, which is what makes this game hard.

Maybe. I'd have to be an extremely sadistic sob to mafia this hard. I'm honestly not, but why would You trust me? If you trusted me that easily it would throw a major red flag.
The majority of mafia will keep low to avoid blowing their cover. As cliche as it sounds the majority of mafia will be those you least expect, and will ride that way up till the end.
Don't forgot about those who haven't even stopped by to say hello, or only stoped by once.
Too many time have I seen mafia sit back, laugh, and watch the town kill itself.

That's what a mafia would say since they already know who the townies are, why bother reading something you're already generally aware of? Only the townies care to figure out who the other townies and mafia are as they're the ones in the dark who have to figure everything out.
Also, to those of you who are mostly posting gifs trying to get attention off of you by being "lighthearted" you guys should be on the highest suspicion list.

You've been going at it since the morning.
You could start casting votes and seeing people defend themselves to try to get..somewhere.
I will ask you to tag the person you're voting for...to wake them up from slumber in a way.
I'm not going to make a decision till I can assess this a bit more.
The first night is always the hardest... You could think you know for sure who's mafia, vote them off, it turns out to be the doctor, then the people who hardly did anything in the thread end up being them.
