I had a heated debate with my obese cousin on this issue. She has a handicapped tag and has no problem walking. I cannot comprehend why she takes that parking space away from someone that really needs it. And why on earth would a doctor sign off on that?

My mom used to tell me that so I had to like put on basketball shorts when he was around and I just don't wear them anymore. Even when I would wear sports bras I had to put on T-shirts. And I feel uncomfortable around him now after being told that for years! But it's like it's my biological father WTF.

If I were a father, I would tell my daughter to put on clothes as well. It's the same reason I don't walk around in my underwear when I'm around my parents. Granted I'm aware that some families are more comfortable than others, but in OP's case it sounds like the rules have been set regarding what is appropriate attire in the house around her parents.
I also don't think OP's mother is saying this for the father's benefit or to infringe upon OP's independence. When the mom says, "There are men in the house" she is talking about more than one person (even if the father is the only one present at the time). Sounds like the mother is setting a standard of dress in the house for a reaon (I would assume for when other men are present as well).
I don't doubt that OP's mother is also setting standards for what she feels her daughter should be wearing outside oft he house as well. Again I doubt this has anything to do with OP's father's mentality around her.
