My cat actually understands the stuff i tell her. She comes up to me and will smack me with her paw to pet her. But if i'm sitting on bed she will come over but wont jump on until i tell her she can. When i enter the house she'll come running and sit and look up at me and when i walk away she wont move until i tap my thigh and whistle at her. She also kinda cries when she doesnt get her way sometimes. White Himalayan Persian. Smart AF. But we secretly know she's the boss.

I've noticed that those who "hate" cats for whatever moronic reason are just that- morons. Or emotionally fucked up.
I don't have a preference for either since I consider myself an all around animal person, but I lol at these idiots who bitch and moan about how terrible cats are, yet cannot come up with any reasonable explanation, just mindless drivel that equates "they don't suck my dick enough to make me feel adequate and in control because I own them, so I hate them."
Both species have their pros and cons.
But most of the time "dog people" tend to have really piss poor logic when discounting the other species and it's pretty fucking stupid. Preferences are one thing, but when you start drivel like this- it just makes you look mentally stunted.
I take it you believe in dragging your dog around everywhere you go? What about dog clothes, strollers, and spas?
I don't see "cat people" doing that stupid shit. I also don't know many "cat people" who go around crying about how much they "hate" dogs. I hear more "dog people" going on about how much they dislike cats and make it known, as well as glorifying their dogs.

My brother's Ragdoll is... 12? She still plays and gets all crazy as fuck.
My 7 and 8 year old kitties do that as well. Cats can be forever playful, so don't count on them growing out of it.

I have a dog currently named Bandit. Not sure what breed he is, but he looks like a german shepard with white on his abdomen and chest. Anyone know his breed?
I grew up around dogs and at one point, we had 5. Two dobermans my parents had from their dog show days, a blood hound of sorts (adopted), a queensland heeler (fostered), and a mutt who looked like some sort of herd dog mix (adopted).
We also had two cats, both adopted us.
Ponds and aquariums were always present, the pond with Koi, and the aquarium of carnival goldfish.
My mom had a horse when I was really young. Also had pigs and chickens we had when we lived on a farm.
Pets I'd like to try- guinea pigs and maybe a rabbit.

My tiger kitten was 6 years old, he became an outdoor cat got into a fight with some possums who shattered his pelvis he threw a clot and we had to euthanize him cause he was not going to make it even when we got him through successful surgery. They're both in a better place now.
Yeah, they are in a better place. I had mine cremated and she's in a purdy box with her name on it.

The Dobermans were buried on the farm, and my kitty prior to the 16 year old furbaby was buried in the yard of the house we lived at at the time. Both are 2000 miles away now. :/

Hes lovable, protective, and hates loud noises. He enjoys fetch, digging holes, and attacking anything thats shaped like a box, i.e. empty cigarette boxes i throw in garbage, video game cases, and etc. He also loves expensive shoes, hdmi cables, and phone chargers.

I wouldn't get a Border Collie. Those dogs are crazy energetic and a LOT of work. You need a yard and a lot of exercise for those, or they go fucking crazy.

But retarded reasoning just doesn't match up, sorry. I hear these crazy bits of "oh it hissed at me" or "didn't make me feel like I was wanted" and it's like wtf were you doing to it? All of the cats I've ever owned have been sweet, affectionate, and a few quite dog-like. Chances are, if a cat is being distant or "crazy," the person in question is being a dick or giving off the vibe that they're a dick. Like any animal, those who are distant or aggressive likely have a history of shady ownership or abuse and need a little bit more understanding. Once you get their trust and get them to settle down, they open up and can be the sweetest things.

I love my cat but then he is more like a dog in nature. A mellow slow sleepy dog that has an occasional mad hour zooming from room to room and stalking people-suits my personality down to a T!
