A fundamental problem between water and earth

Picture this: your turbulent, mostly water and fire chart coincides with the diagnosis you're given during the worst week of your life. You go out in your PJs because you've been put on drugs that can cause self-harm, so you're not supposed to be alone the first weeks. You go out with your mom in a completely vulnerable state. You sit next to two family members as predictable as they come: a Taurus with newfound luck in the matters of money; a ruthless and cold AF Virgo with newfound interest in that Taurus because of the "accomplishments". As per usual you're being your silent self, observing and absorbing like a ghost, and what do they talk about? The best materials to redecorate kitchens. They don't notice. They're clueless. And man, can you imagine this in a marriage, even in a friendship, this level of superficiality? How depressing and frightening.

The water/earth compatibility template you read in 99% of astrology stuff is a lazy misunderstanding of the nature of both elements. I read most of the questions here, the concern is whether some man you have no clue about except for his astro sign, is interested in you, and this is the saddest, most pointless stuff ever. If any wisdom can come from this massive frame of accumulated knowledge through the course of 2000 years is that you get to know yourself through a series of trials and errors, and apply that knowledge to make it work with someone on a road just as bumpy. You try and try especially against the odds, until something clicks, the way life works.

I wished it had been one conversation, but no: decades of curated, protected nothingness. The evening was a synthesis of two vacuums. But feel free to pay attention to the less important part of the post.

What’s of interest to someone else doesn’t have to be of interest to you. The earth signs enjoyed their conversation.

We all can’t cry and comfort, in unison, like the water signs can. 😅

Of course talking without some sort of emotion is boring for you lol.

Funny you should say that, as some of the most nourishing and helpful people in my life have been Sagittarius. Brash, but they're always there for you, maybe not "crying in unison", but fixing with direct actions.

"As per usual you're being your silent self, "

That statement right there. You just expect people to notice and yet your doing nothing different. I can't even say "maybe it's the type of people you are around". Because you didn't try. Your expectations are much higher then the amount of effort you put in.

Finding people you naturally click with isn't common.

However, despite the source of your inspiration, the last part has a ring of truth to it if only the surface level of it. My question is, now that you realize this, what are you going to do differently now?

What would you like to do and experience in life?

I know 🙂 Sag do all that, without being so emotional. It's good that you can understand that side of a Sagittarius. Most just see the superficial stuff.

I find it hard to read water signs, cause you are so withdrawn, so if i picture sitting next to a waterperson in this scenario,

I see an aloof, distanced person with low energy. Maybe I am far less perceptive than other people but how exactly am I suppose to read you accurately? Are you in a bad mood, or depressed, tired etc? Maybe just introverted, cause we often come across like that. Even If I do know whats up, can I bring it up

cause you might not want to talk about that. Did you expect them to react to your bad state of mind? Like trying to cheer you up, or be nice to you? Ask you questions?

No. I expected them to behave like they have for my whole life –family members–, just not that level of douchebaggery. I don't expect anyone to act like anything, maybe just tame down the total carelessness bordering on sociopathy, because not even animals act like this. Other water signs always know what's up with me, no matter how silent or detached. maybe *because* of how silent or detached. Like, it's the opposite, almost too invasive, but luckily there's a tacit pact of just being there, not really having to say anything. Anyway, Carry on.

So how did the kitchen turn out?

You know, the virgo one spent thousands of my uncle's hard-earned cash in that redecoration, also turned the whole thing electric instead of gas. Everything marble because it's more elegant, not convenient. That one is such a drainer of resources. The other one I don't know, as the following year I completely cut contact with abusive family members.

thanks OP for the mental image of you in your pyjamas, thinking you're some kind of invisible ghost while everybody is silently cringing.

I hope you're real and not a troll account because you're like a living stereotype from the 90s.

sadly you missed the emo and gothic waves, 9/11 came and went, and then they invented phones. idk, you're on your own , everybody is a phone zombie now anyway.

Maybe we can restart vampire culture

Did they know about the issues? And yes silent and detached is an indicator for not feeling well. Virgo and taurusses are nurturers. So out of the millions of virgos and taurus you unfortunately met the assholes. So I hope you meet some considerate earth people.

I really would like to know why someone is attracted to the Earth element. It seems that its energy is ineffective comparing to other elements. It seems that the Earth element has no place in our world where the Fire can help you to be assertive and stop at nothing, the Air can help you to listen to others and set proper communication, and the Water can help you to manipulate and operate behind the scenes.

re right, and with all the signs. What you say would be the case of experienced earth signs or important earth placements that have learned to integrate into life, outside the comforts they desperately seek. Non experienced earthies do nurture... THEMSELVES.

Hey, its been a few days since you posted, I dont care about earth signs being shitty or not. I`d like to give you a hug if I could. It really does sting if people you love and trust dont support you. Have you had a little bit rest then? When I feel down, he brightens my day:

Lol. If the original post wasn't true as false is the compatibility of water/earth, there wouldn't be such a torrent of butt-hurt replies. Apart from detached and unaware, transparent. They they comfortably wonder at the rates of ghosting, divorces, broken up friendships. Oh but WHY would a WS would GTFA from them. And it's gotta be one that explains it via a powerpoint when it's already too late.

This is such a legend 😂. Literally I have never met a single earth sign that's worked for their *own* fortune or financial independence. They do *administer* rather well the fortunes made by others who end up drained by them. In my family it's been mostly the Cancers and the Leos (air signs too) who have worked their asses off to build their families. Both too dumb, sensitive and BUSY to not learn how to detach and gtfo before becoming ill. That Taurus cousin and her Virgo brother and Taurus younger brother, and their Virgo mother sucked the life out of my uncle in mythical proportions. The rest of us had to admit him to a hospital while their family was in a cruise, showing off sporting cars, sniffing drugs and enjoying other comforts of life, while the guy didn't have the time to do a check up and realize he had a deadly tumor. When he died, his whole family was crushed financially. My other Leo uncle had to step in and basically become father #2, and drain his own resources to sustain these parasites. I thought, shit, it's just a coincidence. But then I've encountered this "quality" as a pattern outside of my immediate circle.

In my personal experience, I've never had a romantic relationship with this element (runs like hell), but friendships and work mates. Holy sh*t. The best I can say is that they've bored me and it takes a lot for me to get bored. The worst: plagiarism, taking the credit, bossing around when they couldn't even accomplish the first step of the job without any guidance. Initiative to come up with solutions? That word is not in their vocabulary. I had to explain metaphors contained in other people's jokes to a Taurus friend who backstabbed me a few years earlier, and it took like five years after that act for another Taurus friend to tell me about the backstabbing. LOL. Also, I haven't even discussed Capricorn, but this sign is f*cked up. One of the worst violent, verbal attacks I've ever received from a person was from this C guy (another parasite), and it literally was caused by a disagreement over the lyrics of a song. I thought he was going to punch me and a friend had to drag him away from the party to calm him down. WTF?

We (WS) are at our best when surrounded by caring and thoughtful people. If earth is a "nurturing" element, my God they have to really work on it. I just don't see it at all. It's superficial astro pop pairings repeated ad nauseam.

Like, it's the opposite, almost too invasive, but luckily there's a tacit pact of just being there, not really having to say anything. Anyway, Carry on.

Did they know about the issues? And yes silent and detached is an indicator for not feeling well. Virgo and taurusses are nurturers. So out of the millions of virgos and taurus you unfortunately met the assholes. So I hope you meet some considerate earth people.

Hey, its been a few days since you posted, I dont care about earth signs being shitty or not. I`d like to give you a hug if I could. It really does sting if people you love and trust dont support you. Have you had a little bit rest then? When I feel down, he brightens my day:

Thank you. I'm doing fine this year, so much better after my health issues of 2018. It took ALL of my internal resources and professional help for me to get to this point. I learned how important it is to not "bottle up", to seek for help, and also to completely stay away from nefarious relationships that mostly happen within families. I would advise others in need to do this. My beloved Libra mother has been here for me during her whole existence, and yeah, we can be hard. We are prone to horrific depressions and mental health issues. But she'll never give up on me. My Sagittarius friend got me a place to live without saying a word of "comfort". Solved a specific issue, and never bragged about it. I connected remotely with people, especially dead ones, through literature and other arts. The coming birthday of my poor Cancer uncle reminded me of this experience that I ended up making public because these are things you can't bottle up or tone down. Also because legends and commonplaces of pop astrology, which is what most people read about, need to get demystified.

Perhaps you're right, and with all the signs. What you say would be the case of experienced earth signs or important earth placements that have learned to integrate into life, outside the comforts they desperately seek. Non experienced earthies do nurture... THEMSELVES.

Oh I am glad to read this, you went out and seeked help rather than just venting about it. And you have good people.

Cause when people have problems, many friends are suddenly not your friend anymore. They drop you like hot coal.

Your mom and the sag didn`t do that. Keep going!

I hope they dont have to impose lockdowns again, summer is not over yet.

I think earth energy helps me ground myself. It's way too easy for me to live in my own mind with all mushy whiny gloomy feelings and completely detached to the world so earth energy is good for me to remember that we need to live practically and live in reality.

I have been married with a capricorn sun and virgo moon and he simply DO NOT "understand" when I talk and behaves in waves (being sun scorp cancer moon) and whirlwind (aqua jupiter in 3rd and sag in 12th) but he did indirectly calmed me down and the logic is there to tackle my illogical states.

But in yer case, perhaps what you need right now is someone who would hug and sense your emotions to make you feel like you are not alone being like your current state.

Definitely every energy has its own 'speciality'.
