Posted by SsupermanThat's what I'm thinking...except that they haven't been and I'm curious as to why....and how they got sooo bad.
Those can be fixed

Posted by WonderWoman14I know I would have not let my own teeth get so bad. So I wonder if he has a medical condition, lack of funds, or just don't care.
I'm afraid it would be a deal breaker and I wouldn't even be able to give gin the reason because I wouldn't want to embarrass him. Clearly if it bothered him he'd have got it fixed though don't you think?

Posted by bumboklattI would normally be straight up but I don't want to hurt his feelings or embarrass him....if it's a medical condition or something. If he just don't care to get them fixed then it wouldn't matter.
I would be straight up about it

Posted by pinkbird03No I didn't. He's a nice looking guy with pics on his profile. I didn't notice there were closed mouth smiles in every pic until after the date. BUT!! on my profile I specifically made points about having teeth and good personal hygiene.
Did you not notice his teeth before the first date?

Posted by MissLibraAwe I feel bad for the guy! I'm surprised he hasn't fixed his teeth though. I say go on a second date. Don't mention his teeth yet. Don't make him feel insecure. But definitely see how much you like him!Posted by pinkbird03No I didn't. He's a nice looking guy with pics on his profile. Posted by tizianiYou killing me today man!!!
Lol I don't blame you, I have bad teeth myself. Nothing approaching bad hygiene or halitosis but just crooked and worn enamel. I think it boils down to the fact I went years without caring and, actually, some of those years were the most free. I would just wager a mental bet with myself as to how low I could sink on many levels. It was liberating.
Then you find things to care about again and you start taking care of yourself once more. But dating is not going to be one of those things. It doesn't move you like that.

What is it my doomsday?
Don't you know about braces and stuff?
Are you from India? Wtf—
I'm talking about self-loathing. Interesting second date material imo.

Posted by VageenkaHave you ever kissed someone with metal braces? see this is going to be ackward. I think im going to hibernate for 24 months. Haha it is going to be really weird cause i kiss good now. But damn im nervous. Someone has to teach me.
I feel bad for saying this but that is so fricking gross. I couldn't imagine eating after them let alone making out with them. Imagine how their mouth is if their teeth are that bad.
For me, I would never ask about their dental hygiene but would just move on.
I mean, come on people... I don't care if you have horse teeth, cricked teeth... If you BRUSH them 3 times a day like you're SUPPOSED to, they will NOT look yellow or be rotten. THEY JUST WON'T. This is coming from someone who smokes cigarettes like a fricking maniac and STILL have white teeth. If a smoker can have white teeth then anyone can if they brush like they're supposed to.
Serious hygiene problem detected!

Posted by WonderWoman14You would be surprised at the number of people that don't know how important it is to take care of their teeth. It's right up there with bad breath and men with long nasty nails. Keep it moving while you have nothing invested.

How do you go about broaching the subject of someone's dental hygiene without being offensive? My concern is whether it is bad hygiene or maybe he has a medical condition such as diabetes. Bad hygiene is a deal breaker for me.
