if you were serious about this person you would have to think about family influence as well as possibly passing down half of their genes related to intelligence....

if you define far right as libertarianism

then far left which would be anarchism would have some things in common.

and then there are also gradations.

there are those on the left who don't want their tax dollars to go towards killing innocent people

or corporate bailouts

and some libertarians who also want the same things.

I have the opposite issue...my husband's family is anti-Trump but I found out after we got married that my husband loves Trump and apparently voted for him (his mom didn't even know about this). To date I have no idea if he's strongly trolling about this or if he really loves Trump because he always says he's not joking ??

I've learned to accept differences in other people. Religious beliefs and political beliefs are personal to that individual, and as long as those beliefs don't encroach on my own, I would have been fine with dating the person.

Learning to agree to disagree.

It's the same for my friendships. I can be friends with two people who hate each other due to political beliefs and still have my own beliefs intact. However, recent events are making me reassess this standpoint of mine. I recently had to sever all contact with a friend who happens to be a staunch Boris Johnson supporter.
