It's only a birthday hellooo! I forget birthdays of people who mean the world to me sometimes too. Doesn't mean I don't care for them. There were days they reminded me the day before(n/or few days prior) n I still forgot!! Showing what you mean to them can't be confined n defined to/by a single day!

Different strokes, I guess. What bothers me the most is that I have always thought of it as a special day. I think that even though people act like it is just another day, it does mean something when you get that text or call or whatever. To know that someone you love thought of you, remembered you... It matters to me. It hurts to be forgotten the one day it matters most. I know I sound like a crybaby. I am just hurting. Judge away!

I have never would never forget anyone's bday that I love and care for. It is important to me that they know I remember them. Thats all.

If Scorps have the capacity to love so deeply, even a friend... how could they NOT remember a "loved one" on their bday?

you poor thing 😢 well it sometimes happens, I mean my best friend has done it in the past, and if you're the kind of person, which does not share excitement when your bday is close, they could forget :?

Fair enough. He isn't "into" his own.

But he knows I am.

My father,

My Dad never forgot.

He is gone now, 2 years I haven't heard his corny song on my vmail. I miss it. I expressed that recently.

My BEST feiend forgot that. Apparently I don't mean to this "friend" what they mean to me.

Yes; they sent me a message on the day of his funeral. Because that obviously is important.

But did they listen to me when I talked aboit what really matters? Apparently not.

I am angry.

I am hurt.

And I feel guilty, because I belive these emotions are childish.

Hence why I asked Scorps. To see if bdays mattef to you guys?

Lol@sounding like a cry baby.I get it. But umm... I have a friend who considers her birthday as the most special day. One of my bffs actually. But what's really nice about her is that , she considers mine even more special. Always celebrates mine grandly n I still forget to even wish her on time. Thing though is, she doesn't get offended. She knows me enough not to get offended n she called me twice herself to remind me n made me wish her.N she's not the only one who does that. Happened many times with bffs n friends I consider really close. Does that mean I don't care for them? Some of them are not chunks of my heart but pieces of my soul. I love them n that's still an understatement. One thing which probably makes them forgive me or allow me to get away with this might be coz I show my love in ways irrelevant of specific dates n days n most importantly because they get me n know I love them. We share an understanding to a point that things like these wouldn't matter. They are too insignificant to base our whole relationship on that. They don't forget what we actually share just because of that. There's much much more to relationships.

What I wanna say is, you saying you should only surround yourself with people who show you what you mean based on whether they wish you on your birthday or not doesn't sound fair...not to you, them or the relationship you share. Don't do this to yourself. People are hard to come by. Start noticing things they do for you in general. Maybe you're not acknowledging their ways? But yes, if there are other things that bother you about them, I won't talk about it.

I forget birthdays all the time. Facebook reminds me. The only birthday I remember all the time is my son's. That doesn't mean I don't love the person any less. Hell, when married I had to look at our wedding certificate to remember our anniversary, every single year.

I'm not a Scorpio, and you are entitled to your feelings, but IMO I just don't understand. I think that your behavior is selfish, childish and there is too much emphasis and expectations on what others should be doing for you. People are human, they forget. The death of a very close loved one is awfully hard. Be grateful that you lived to see another birthday. What about all the people in 3rd world countries that are focused on whether or not they will be able to eat today.

I mean he knows the day that I was born, lol....we just don't make a big deal around birthdays so he might forget to call on that specific day...but he usually will call some time that week though and we laugh about it....

Take no notice of me....i am a mum that remembers everything 🙂

I do feel like it's a childish thing to let bother me, so I tried to push it away. I didn't let them know it bothered me at all. I don't think anyone has any clue that it does. It's been a few days and it keeps bugging me. I am still trying to overcome it and act like it doesn't bother me. But I always make it a point to remember them.

Oh well, whats done is done right?

When my friends and family forgot my birthday, including my twin sis, I let them know that it b bothered me.

Idgaf if birthdays aren't your thing but dammit, they are my thing.
